F-f-f-f-freeeezing!!

Cold!

Spent the morning watching my new hot tub being delivered and installed. Surfing the retail web sites for banmoo shades for the room it's in.
Now, we're just waiting around for it to heat up.

My blood pressure dropped way down for a few hours, finally got it back up again.

Chicken sounds good, but I think i'll make a meatloaf with stewed tomatoes and green beans for supper, haven't had that in a long time.

Cold here, too....expecting just a inch or so of snow tonight.

Good sleeping weather.

Hi Sue. My day has been pretty much like every other. Im at work wishing I could retire! Tonight I have to go to hear my Granddaughter sing with her choral group. I have to fight mega traffic to get there but I haven't been able to make any other shows so tonight is the night. It is bitter cold here (Maryland) and I'll be heading home around 9:00 so Im hoping we don't get any snow before then. Im glad to be able to go but am already looking forward to getting home and into a warm bed! Take care and have a good evening. Satine

I went to the shop and decided that it was too cold (50 inside the building) to sit and do anything. So, I sat outside in the sun for a while and decided to come home. I watered my pot ghetto and will go out in a while to cover everything up for the cold night ahead. I've got a big batch of spaghetti sauce going so I can freeze some and make a lasagna for dinner on Sunday.

Like satine, I'm at the office and wishing I could retire! Wondering what it would be like to have every day to do what you want and need to do at home. Other than vacations, never had a break from working. [[[[sigh]]]]

Waking up to 24 BELOW and windy, so that makes it about 30-40 below. Took DH to Dr for sinus infection and picked up a few things. Home to my warm house. About 3nches of snow again but roads are open and good. High today seems to be around 17 below. Wouldn't be too bad it it was not windy from the artic area.

just got the garbage collected and ready for dh to take to the street when he gets home. i still have one cat box but don't like to empty them all and let kitties suffer for ?? it takes...ds2 came over again today and did more gutting of the upstairs bath. we have a porch full of black construction bags, but it's gonna take a while to get it all picked up.. there's just so much the guys will take...and with the expected snowfall it'll be really bad tomorrow.

got on line looking at vanities and bathtubs..never mind the tile and paint colors...i can eliminate subway white. dh didn't like that at all. he also didn't like some of the tumbled tiles either...he doesn't want all white, but then i have a varity of colored towels so want to stay pretty neutral...he just doesn't get the concept that towels are part of the decorating, lol..

if i had unlimited funds i'd go for a "walk" in tub, but at 2-5 grand, that's NOT in my budget..and since we already have a 3/4 bath downstairs (walk-in shower) we really need a tub someplace for resale...

I'm at work and have been swamped today, it's been that way all week. We've been "The Happy Bookers"! Several trips to Disney, a couple of cruises, England and Hawaii....quite a productive week.

Since it is Orthodox Christmas I sent a quick email to friend wishing them a Merry Christmas, they called to invite us to dinner tonight! A quick stop at the liquor store and off we will go!

Not quite 11 am here and I've just finished 46 mins of Wii Fit so I'm ready for a cup of tea and a lie down haha!
Nice day outside, a little overcast but warm with a light wind. DH is attacking the jungle out the back (aka the garden) with all manner of menacing looking equipment so I'd better get out there and supervise before I'm left with nothing but a few sticks!
I don't go back to work til Monday so I intend to enjoy my last few days of freedom!

A bad case of computeritis here. Fed the birds and me. Too cold for much else.

DH and I went to Cheddar's and ate a late lunch/early supper. I did a load of laundry, and other than that, it's been lazy here. I'm reading a book that I expect to finish before I go to bed. "Christmas Blizzard" by Garison Keillor. I did balance my checkbook and talk to 2 friends on the phone. Other than that, it's COLD. Brrrrrr.

Georgia snow day. School let out early, but things were actually orderly up until dismissal. The early dismissal was based on predicted start of snow time, and it really did start snowing about the time we let out. Cancelled tomorrow. We have... oh... maybe 1/4 inch! LMBO!! I think there is a chance of a little more, and the north part of the county might get almost a whole inch! ;o) I just find it amusing. Ice forms on the edges of local ponds and they send a news crew to cover it with live video. Live from the grocery store parking lot, interview folks preparing for "nature's fury." LOL!! It's just funny how hard they work to make breaking new out of this!

My kids made a snow man and put him in the freezer! ;o) He fits in my side-by-side frig freezer on a shelf! LOL! Whatever frozen precipitation was in my yard has been completely soaked up by my kids gloves, jackets, jeans and shoes and is now dripping onto my floors... plus a little in the freezer.

This is my second week of sitting with a friend who is in rehab at a nursing home after suffering a head injury before Thanksgiving. She's making great progress.

I retired 5 years ago, so this getting up at 7:30am to get things situated at home before I leave for the home at 8:30am, then getting home around 6pm. is like working again!!
Both weeks, the snow and ice have made the roads tricky; and today I left early because we are expecting 7" of snow by Friday afternoon! The snow was really coming down at 3:30pm. so I asked my friend if she would be ok with me leaving early and she said yes of course. Don't know if I'll make it back over there tomorrow or not.

Lets see, woke up grumpy, the darn heater coming on what seemed like every 15 minutes kept me from sleeping well. I left it turned up, as the electricity kept flashing on and off last night, and I don't want to be as cold as at the 2007 loss of electricity. Got up, puter on, breakfast and just puter time. Whenever I got cold, I would go and sit in the sauna for a while. Finally, after eating lunch I drug myself in to some clothes, and headed to the post office. Got a call from the clock repair man (grandfathers clock), and had to cut my outing short. Went home. He took the inards out, and is going to see about fixing them.

Left to go back to TJ Max, looking for some new warm slippers. Found some. Also some Grapeseed oil, and a new skillet. Over to Hobby Lobby. Got some batting (using an online 40% off coupon). Want to make Allison a cosy for in her stroller. Next stopped at BRAUMS, for some ice cream. You know, this weather is BEST for ice cream. It doesn't drip. LOL

Ace hardware store for another pair of no slip things, for some shoes, they didn't have the yaktrax. Finally back home.

Weight work out and stretching exercises done. Washed some dishes including the new skillet, and ate a cheese sandwich for dinner.

All in all, I call today lazy.

Had a snow day today! No preschool this afternoon(DGD Cali)because of snow and drifting roads. So we played and colored and read books and had cookies and milk for our afternoon snack and when Grandpa came home from work we played in the snow! It's almost midnight and I'm still doing laundry! LOL

It's been snowing lightly all day. Wife and I got into the Jeep and went to see the movie, "Avatar", in 3-D.
Awesome graphics and a bunch of imagination!

marry I use grapeseed oil the way others use vegetable oil, or olive oil. From what I read, it is really healthy.
