My kitchen- ORB cabinet hardware question

I am in the process of the search for ORB hardware. I have spent countless hours online so far, with lots of tips here on the forum.

I just found this one on ebay. Does anybody recognize it? I'd like to know who the mfr is.

Does anybody have any tips for places with really good prices?

I also like Top Knobs Dakota 1188, Top Knobs M967 (too expensive!) and things along that style.

I'm also considering a rustic copper type of look. We haven't decided on our sink (Silgranit biscuit or cafe brown) and therefore faucet (ORB?) and so hardware is still pretty open! My head is spinning!

Cabinets are AW spice mocha Alexandria square. Appliances are bisque. We are on a tight TIGHT budget and are completely DIY. Total gut of the room taking place this weekend!

I bought my orb knobs and pulls from Myknobs.com. Their customer service was excellent!

I brought my knobs at myknobs.com also. I do live near their show are looked at them. I wanted ORB at first, but thant changed my minded and brought a rust finish by Schwab. It went better w/ the galzing in my cabinets.

I went back and forth on this a million times, ORB or Satin Nickel...exposed hinges or hidden hinges...I ended up with exposed hinges in ORB (thanks to advice and pics from GW) and I really do like it. My ORB hinges and knobs look more black in the photos but they aren't quite as dark in person and have a warmer undertone. Be sure you see the ORB in person because some ORB is more on the brown side and some has a blacker tone, like mine. My cabinets aren't as creamy as some, they are more white, but a soft white and I don't think it's too jarring. Good luck, it's so exciting when you get down to those final details isn't it?!

I found the SAME thing. Had the SAME excitement. Even posted it here on garden Web. LOVE the 6" rail pulls. Not loving the knobs... do you? I may switch it up with a Restoration Hardware ORB knob. (They match the color PERFECTLY). I just ordered the 8.5" rails from Atlas - hard to do - b/c they were $18. But I want 2 for the garbage drawers in our kitchen. Plan to put 6" pulls on my 30-36" drawers. Hope I don't fall in love with the 8.5" pulls. Hard to swallow the cost, after the deal at Lowes! Yay for us! :)

ORB or satin nickel hardware for mahogony w/ black glaze cabinet?

I agree -- I think ORB will be too dark since your cabinets are dark. In my last kitchen I had mahogany-stained cabinets and a dark-ish granite countertop (Sapphire Brown), and I used brushed nickel (or something that resembled the stainless steel of my appliances and sink) cabinet pulls, and it looked great. I recommend that you buy 1 of each at HD or Lowe's and take them home and see what they look like in person. The small investment of money is well worth the piece of mind before you go out and buy ALL your hardware at once. Good luck!

I recently bought simple ORB knobs online from cripedistributing.com
based in Idaho. The cost was $14 per 25-count (I bought 50) plus approx. $9 shipping. They didn't include the screws, but I already had those. I got the link from a Finished Kitchen Blogger. I was happy with the product and the price. I wanted something that wasn't too black or too coppery, and these fit the bill.

My ORB knobs and cup pulls from cripedistributing.com arrived yesterday. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the knobs (surprised how heavy they are) and the finish. I was another one who didn't want something too coppery or black.

My initial thought on ordering was that they could just be "temporary" until I found the perfect knob but they might just be it! The quality of my blue tape knobs and pulls just haven't held up all that well so I am more than happy to replace them. Although the selection is severely limited the price just can't be beat.

I want to say thank you to the original poster that posted the link many, many months ago - yet another purchase based on recommendations from this forum.

I looked at cripedistributing because I heard what great prices they had and unfortunately there aren't any handles there that seem right. Stinks, too, because the price is awesome!

Thanks for the myknobs tip. Going to go do some shopping, now that I talked further to DH and have a better idea of what we're looking for...somewhat rustic and plain!
