Housewives ?, might be dumb....

I've watched, I thought, every episode but I don't remember why the one girl committed suicide....Last night, they showed her reading note and then the end....Wondered what I had missed....

I was so disappointed, after all hyped up and then to have a re-run....Now we have to wait 2 weeks...But it's a good thing, I was wondering how I was going to watch Housewives and the Steelers at the same time......

It had something to do with a dead baby and burying it in the back yard.

Ws it that their baby died, and then they adopted that weird little boy who was interested in Susan's daughter? Then that boy found his real parents/grandparents and ended up being very wealthy? And I think that the lady who died (can't remember her name) was upset because there was a story behind the "adoption". I think the natural mother was a drug addict who died a violent death. Someone else was the natural father-it might have been Mike.

I guess I just think of places like PA and NJ, and how they are farther south, and yet still zone 6. But admittedly I always forget to think of proximity to the water, and that would change things, so being on the island would make a difference. I googled, though, and found this. Who knows? I think you can find three different maps with three different results, lol. Not trying to be argumentative with anyone. I was just really somewhat taken aback when I saw Brooklyn zone 7. Sounds so tropical, lol. :) Dee P.S. Also interesting to see Suffolk county being zone 6. Another consideration is installation of the hood after the cabinets, counter, and range are installed. Larger island hoods are heavy, and below the hood will be expensive stuff. My remodeling contractor and I put in my hood, but there were no cabinets underneath. A sheetrock lift was used to hold the hood up while we aligned it and installed the mounting screws. If the cabinets are in place first, you would need four tireless strong men to hold the hood over the counter and someone to lie on the anvil, er, range and install bolts and screws. Or, some temporary structure would have to be built to align the hood at the correct height and location. Plan to repaint the ceiling afterward if you don't have a stable lifting scheme. There is also the consideration of having to block between the joists to put wood where the hood or its extension is to be attached. This is not going to be easy with an island in the way except where attics are above, perhaps. At a minimum the range would have to be disconnected from the gas and removed so there was easier working space. Maybe some other aspect of the kitchen can be deferred until more funding is available. Gas ranges should have venting even if one never cooks anything greasy. The gas combustion itself results in more than just CO2 and H2O. Components of gas effluent are considered hazardous, although that is a matter of degree, like most hazards. For 60k years, more or less, humans lived in smokey caves, huts, and such, but then the lifespan needed to teach hunting and gathering to the next generation didn't have to be much more than 40 years. kas

I tasted one - OMG! Good!!!!!!!!!!! Hubs liked them too! They are sweet enough that I didnt put frosting on them. Bumblebeez, here is the recipe: Christmas Morning Cinnamon Rolls Easy, cheater recipe and it freezes well! (makes 24 good sized rolls) DOUGH: 1 yellow cake mix 5 c. AP flour 2 pkg. yeast 2 1/2 c. warm water FILLING: 1/2 cup softened butter Brown sugar and cinnamon to taste Nuts and raisins optional Mix all dry dough ingredients. Add water and mix well. NO KNEADING. Let rise about an hour until double. Divide dough in half and roll each into rectangle. Spread with filling (butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, add nuts and/or raisins if desired) Roll up from long side Cut into 12 slices. Place cut side up in sprayed/greased 9 x 13 pan. Let rise again about an hour (till double) Bake at 325 for 25 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE! Can frost with cream cheese frosting if desired or just warm and serve dripping with butter! Yeah, this is one of the decadent once or twice a year treats!! Deanna

I've watched them all at least once. I like OC and NY. Hate to get drawn into NJ ( quite a different NJ that I grew up in ) and Atlanta. We all wonder about what was left on the editing room floor , but Vicky's put her efforts into her business and is very successful. 24 hours in a day doesn't leave much for other things. At the end of last season , I didn't think Vicky would be back. Perhaps it's time for her to enjoy her life more privately. Tamra has been a spoiled child since she joined the show. Her mouth opens too easily before her brain does. She says she's learned a lot but I haven't seen any change in her. Alexis seems to spout the marriage line but I can't agree that the lips and body she loves is that great ..or her personality. Her dress line leaves a lot to be desired. I'd hate to think my friends or acquaintances have nothing more to do than gossip.

yeah, they didn't legally adopt him, they kind of stole him from the druggie mom... and I believe Susan's Plumber, Mike was his father..... didn't hte kid end up killing his rich grandfather?

I wasn't surprised that they aired a repeat -- I was surprised that the repeat had just been shown the week before...

Mary Alice Young (portrayed by Brenda Strong, who continues with Mary Alice's narration), and her husband Paul had "adopted" a son - Zach. Turned out the adoption wasn't quite legal, and when Zach's mother turned up to claim him, Mary Alice and Paul didn't want to give him up. Zach didn't know he was "adopted" and none of the neighbors did, either.

The birth mother was a drug addict, and Mary Alice and Paul killed her, and stuffed her body into an old trunk (I think they may have dismembered her -- I don't quite recall)... They buried the trunk deep in their backyard -- under a swimming pool, to be exact. (So, they had to be in the process of having the pool put in, in order to have done this -- they would have dug the hole for the trunk, buried it, and then the gunite would have been "shot" and the pool finished, etc.

Yes, Mike Delfino (the plumber) was Zach's biological father. Zach's maternal grandfather was very wealthy, and had been searching for his daughter for years.... he'd hired a private detective.

Somehow (again, I don't quite recall the details), Mrs. McCluskey figured out what Mary Alice had done, and she left the note in her mailbox. It was finding and reading the note that sent Mary Alice over the edge to commit suicide.
