Peachy's New Year's resolution (3 pics)

We're not the only ones determined to eat healthier in the new year; Peachy has made a resolution to eat more kale. (She has also resolved to leave my favorite spider plant alone.)

Here she is begging for kale:

In the mouth at last!! (She actually eats quite a lot of it.)

my cats are always snacking on my plants, too. think i will put kale on the grocery list for this week. if they don't eat it, i will. i love kale!! ;)

That's great that she eats greens. One of my cats likes the cat nip plants that you can buy at the pet stores. He chews on them. I'll try kale and see if he likes it too.

Lucy My New Year reslutions are few - but I have one very important one! I'm hoping to get back into the 'swing' of things. The last month (plus) have shown me some very bad days - as most of you know. Losing 'Arrant' was quite a 'blow' for me. But hey - I'm trying! Wanted to share something I got for Christmas from my other half & a little something I received from Joyce (luvmy3afhounds). They made my Christmas just a little easier & a little brighter! What would we do without the kindness, caring & love of others?? Let's all be thankful for the special friends we've made here on gardenweb!! I also want to take the time to thank everyone who sent cards, ecards, and their prayers & thoughts during that difficult time! I appreciated it very much! :) Now - on with the New Year!! Mike Silver framed pic is from my other half! 'Bow-Wow' framed pic is from Joyce! She did a wonderful job making that pic! From Joyce - which sits here on my desk! I enjoy it each & every day! The picture I took is a little blurry - but you get the picture! I love it!

Elizabeth, I took this from the search bar here on GW, I hope they don't mind. I refer to it often when things won't work for me. pa After you download your first picture you will see 3 lines of html underneath it. If you copy the second line, the TAG line, you can then paste that line into your forum message. Press the preview message on the forum page and you should see exactly what your message with picture will look like. I usually open two internet browsers to do this, one is open to the garden web forums where I want to submit a message and the second one is open to and I have my album open so I can download my new picture and copy the tag line. 1. open free photobucket account 2. download picture and copy TAG line 3. paste the TAG line into the message you want on the forums - and it's easier to do this if you have two browsers open so that you don't have to keep going back and forth from GW to PB, especially if youÃ¯Â¿Â½re putting in more than one picture. *********************************************************** If you would like to post your photo as a "clickable Thumbnail" ......... Put your photo on Photobucket. WHen it is there, click the little box next to the photoname.jpeg. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the large tab to the bottom right that says Generate HTML and IMG Codes You then have a choice of 4 boxes of code. Copy ALL the code from the first box (Thumbnails for ebay, myspace, etc) to the body of your message that you are posting. Then finish your message and click the preview button. Well Rain Rain Rain :)) Reallly Needed it & everything growing so well I guess they say its going to be here till weds may 17th . I try to go poke a plant in the grow in between the rain :)) My ponds are flooding have been watching to see if my fish are swimming away or not. anyway I just wanted to let any Know that your Box to djm906 had arrived but she was back in the hospital & that is why you did not get a thank you . or responce back from her. Here is a letter I recieved from her daughter deb today I feel as if doris has went throught so much this pass year . she could really use our prayers & cards to cheer her up. also maybe a few new doctors . vee I want you to know that you will get a box after the rain :))) well I have a friend in the hospital & will be in & out this weekend but just wanted everyone to know about our friend doris . if anyone wants to send her a card I have her addy if needed . thank you all susie I'm sorry I didn't let someone know sooner. My brother had taken the box when it arrived and potted up the plants at his house for her, and he just said they were from someone in GA, and honestly, when she was in ICU, I didn't have time to go online when I got home. She's a cutie! My younger cat likes 'cat grass' and an occasional lettuce leaf. My other 2 cats (1 now deceased) didn't care for 'greens' at all.

What a grown up girl she is getting to be! WOW!!!! She's about the same age as our Baby-Baby.

Peachy and baby-baby are adorable. My last cat loved snicker bars. My daughter would give her teeny-tiny pieces. It was like catnip to her.I don't know if chocolate is as bad for cats as it is for dogs, but she lived to be 21 1/2 years old. She was the best.

Georgysmom, I'd have to guess chocolate must not be all that bad for cats if yours lived that long. :-)

To me, raw kale has no scent at all, but somehow Peachy knows as soon as I put it on my cutting board. She gets so excited!

Linda, let us know what happens with your cat and kale. Lynn, too!

GREAT pics Susan and Lynn. They are just adorable.
I'd love to hear and see how everyone's cats are doing with kale and other unusual cat foods.

I'm afraid I don't eat anything fancy like those greens. I detest cilantro and I would get kale in a box or produce that I got from the grocery store for my worms. Kale is a funny thing, even thawing after being frozen, it didn't soften or become mushy at all.

I'd love my cats to eat some veggies. I'll keep trying to see if there's something that intrigues them.
