You're funny, Tally! :-) It's so true, though... we speak such a jumble of slang and improperly used words... I couldn't imagine having to learn English at my age! The internet has made the world a lot smaller, and we find that people in different areas, different countries, are the same as we are... we have the same hopes and dreams, the same hobbies, and the same things are important to us. Through GardenWeb, I've made some wonderful friends, and some live on the opposite side of the globe! It's nice that we can share our love of bulbs, our love of gardening, with others... and we can learn about the different ways we all culture our bulbs, and the different seasons and ways of gardening. And one of the best parts is that we're able to share this in picture form, so we can see what gardening is like around the world!

We were never able to get her to log in. I'm back home looking around and I saw the message at the top of this page saying there are known issues ... I'll try out some of the fixes tomorrow. DH and I have been going to her home on Saturdays to take pictures and visit with her and her sweet husband. She was so disappointed :(

I too have Bianco Antico. It's faaaabulous. It really goes with a lot of colors. You can put pear green with it (which is my accent color in my house), chocolate brown, creams, whites, silver, gray, taupe, etc. etc. It is one of those granites that although it is busy, it is really open to a variety of decorating ideas. I struggled with my backsplash for quite some time with this granite. Yes, I think I'm close to being blacklisted on GW for all of my questions. But as I was closing in on the final tile--a miracle happened--I won a backsplash after entering my kitchen in a contest. The tile I won is perfect for my space. Bianco Antico varies from slab to slab--no matter what the fabricator says. I did not want one that had a lot of black and taupe in it. Mine is primarily brown, with taupes and grays in it. Tishtosh, In answer to your first question, it's not hung. I had them build in a narrow shelf at the edge so that I could prop up paintings on it. For the second question: I'm a red gal maself! Walkin, are you from NM, too? Most people who aren't, don't hava a clue what "Red, Green or Christmas?" means to us New Mexicans. Cool! For the rest of you, it's a question we're asked in restaurants here daily: do we want red chile sauce, green chile sauce or Christmas ~ one side with red; the other with green~ on whatever we've ordered, such as Huevos Rancheros or enchiladas. Hey Kelly, it's good to see you here, too! Yep, as much as I love the Kitchen Forum, now that my kitchen is finished, the daily major & minor crises over there are not as compelling.
