Dropped #2 and #3 at the gym for baseball work out..
Dish washer is running..

Need to make breakfast..I think bacon and cheese omelets and toast.

Going to attempt homemade sausage today.

Need to cut up the big pork loin from Costco, into a roast and chops...not sure what the other third will be..

Loin for dinner today..might bake some cheesecake cookie bars..maybe a loaf of cinnamon swirl breas too..

Laundry too..

Who knows...really..

Football is on all day I have been informed;) I was going to the mall, but feel too lazy for that. I think I will start a new book and lazy around same as yesterday.

I am not doing a lot today, could feel better, but right now I am frying the pork chops, biscuits are in the oven, salad in the bowls and the potatoes are baked. The iced tea is about done. I will make the gravy in a little bit. I have both of husband's jackets in the washer and that is about it. I did take a nap this morning as I didn't feel like anything else. The sun is really bright on the five or so inches of snow we got yesterday. Three of the kids have called me and look for the fourth to call before the day is up.

So nothing too exciting and I like it that way today. Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

United States laws concrning lophophora copy and paste: Where there is exclusive federal jurisdiction or state law is not "racially" limited, peyote use by Native American Church members is legal and "racially" neutral in the United States.[30] This exemption from federal criminalization is as old as creation of federal law creating peyote related offenses. This law has been codified as a statute in the American Indian Religious Freedom Act of 1978, and made part of the common law in Peyote Way Church of God v. VENT! Why do inventory homes go up faster than your house?

Forget talking to the construction manager. Find out who the CEO or President of the company is and write him a letter. Introduce yourself as a customer who is in the process of having a home built by their company at such-and-such an address by so-and-so construction manager. Compliment the quality of the work being done on your home (or how clean they are keeping the property...or something!) and that you are happy to be working with a company that prides itself on customer service. Tell him what a great reputation his company had back where you used to live and that you were so relieved when your original builder's company was taken over by his company. (Never hurts to lay on the compliments first.) Then state that you do have a complaint however and have tried to resolve this with the construction manager but have not gotten satisfaction nor any explanation that makes sense to you so you are hoping the CEO/President can assist you. Then, keeping it short, outline the fact that they broke ground on your home on date X and that on a later date (later dates) broke ground on three "inventory homes" at such and such addresses. Point out the ways in which these three inventory homes are substantially the same size, style, and quality of the home they are building for you and are in the same neighborhood. State that under the circumstances, it seems logical that the home that was started first (yours) ought to be the first one finished but that you now find that work on the inventory homes is moving forward MUCH faster than work on your home and further that you are being told that your finish date is being delayed significantly. In a chart, show the status of your home as of "yesterday" and the status of the 3 inventory homes on the same date. Point out again that the 3 inventory homes were begun AFTER your home and that the same CM is building all of them and using, as far as you know, the same crews. Suggest that it looks like the construction manager is delaying work on your home in order to concentrate his efforts on the inventory houses - presumably so that they can be finished and sold more quickly so as to maximize profits on them and that while you can understand the CM's motives, delaying work on your home to give priority to the inventory homes is simply unfair. Point out that while this INTENTIONAL (be sure and use that word) delay may be more profitable for the company and look good for the CM, it works a hardship on you and your family because if your home is not finished on schedule (by mid-September) you will have to move into a hotel with 2 school-age children at a cost of $x/week after September 30. Tell him - and quote me here because this phrase tends to be somewhat magical. "This is simply not acceptable. It reflects badly on the good name of your company." Suggest to the CEO that if they don't have your home ready by the originally promised date but do finish any one of the inventory houses that was started AFTER yours, it would be only fair for them to let you and your family move into the finished inventory house - and live there for free - until they complete your home. Then say that while this would be an acceptable compromise for you, what would really make you happy is for them to simply get your house back on its original time-line schedule and stop treating it like a "stepchild". If the CEO is a reasonable person, the fact that you brought the matter directly to his attention will tell him you are a savvy consumer. The fact that your complaint is stated in a rational manner and that you are not making irrational demands - only asking them to do what is right and fair - and that you still hold a good opinion of the company - is very likely to result in a message coming down from the CEO to your construction manager to get humping on finishing your house and to make sure it gets done BEFORE the inventory houses and before September 30th if at all possible. For the construction manager, finishing the inventory houses first is a big deal for his small portion of the company's bottom line. For the CEO, that extra profit is likely to be a piddling amount in the grand scheme of things. So, if the CEO can keep you happy by just telling the CM to make finishing your home a priority over the three inventory houses, he is very likely to do so. And, once word comes down from on high, you can bet the CM will do it. You may hear nothing back - other than maybe a letter that the CEO will "look into it" - but you'll know your letter succeeded if work on your house suddenly appears to become top priority for your CM. I like to think that what we're doing "references" our home's age and style, but we're definitely not purists. As I type, my butler's pantry oak window frame is being painted white. Gasp! Our house's kitchen was originally about 15x9. It had a free standing farmhouse sink, a large stove, and possibly a hutch-like cabinet on one wall. There was a single light, probably hanging over a work table in the middle of the room. There was a pass-through pantry connecting the kitchen to the dining room, and a second butler's pantry behind the porch, and both pantries had a couple of built-ins. The "laundry room" was a three-basin soapstone sink in the basement and a clothes line in the backyard. I have thought a lot about what it would be like to be the "woman of the house" in 1910 and making due with what was available. I am convinced that Mrs. Original Homeowner would think I was crazy if I tried to recreate anything much like that first set-up with so many great new options available. Still, we tried to pick materials and finishes that were in use in homes at the time - wood (painted and stained), marble, soapstone, slate, subway tile. We had our cabinets built to look similar to the originals, and we are using the blueprints to replicate one of two missing china cabinets in the dining room. We are installing push-button switches and some period-appropriate lighting, and we repurposed a sewing room as our new pantry (which is right behind and very similar to the original pantry). In short, we have a grand old house that had a tiny, dismal, minimally functional kitchen. I like to think that if our house had a choice, it would pick the one it's getting! ;)

Nothing..We both got up and had homemade waffles & sausage for breakfast. Got our dd off to work...ie packed her lunch. Went back to bed and just woke up, but now DH is taking a nap. Hope to put new stickers on the car because Auburn won the SEC National Championship & beat Bama..Have to scrape off old stickers first. So not much at all...Oh I want DH to blow the leaves off the front porch...

Yeah football will be on here too...although I am the only one in the "main" part of the house..so the TV is not on. ;)

Lazy day would be nice..but..I have to get a bit done...oh..reminds me..I put cleaner in the toilet almost an hour ago...

Laura, sounds like a slow day at your house too..Tony maybe not. ~wink~

My hubby will be lounging around for the next two days!

Local fishing derby was held yesterday, so lots of family came home for that. More cooking involved, of course, but I like doing that occasionally! They have all headed home after pancakes and eggs for breakfast. Now I'm just reading the paper and being lazy.

Finished gathering things up for when Interfaith comes to pick it up for their thrift shop. Vacuumed the bedrooms--only place there is carpet. That's about it and I'm ready for a nap. Need to take newspapers to the recycle bin but it's too cold and the wind is blowing, so they'll have to wait.

NFL (go Broncs!!) and a little cooking. I have a big pot of vegetable soup simmering on the stove and some of Glenda's overnight cheese french toast in the refrigerator ready to bake. I'll make some banana pudding at half time and my best friend will come over after the game for an early supper with us. Nice cozy lazy day!

I made brunch. We will go grocery shopping today. I have been cleaning the kitchen and need to put away the clean and folded laundry. I have a lot of catching up with the house from my being sick. I am finally able to do some stuff with out it kicking my butt. I need to get some super energy for a few days!

Well with hubbies muscles..the pork grinding was easy..I just tossed the meat chunks in the try and he did all the pushing..

That is one nifty contraption..did have to stop part way through and remove the front, there was sinue stuck around the blade..that was just as easy to remedy.
I have made 2 lbs of hot italian..and on my second 2 lbs of breakfast sausage. First batch I shaped into 12 patties. The second batch will be shaped into a big log for future use.

There is a bit of meat left over..will probably just fry up into some little meatballs for snacking.

Oh and I have Honey Wheat Bread dough rising..that will become, rolls to go with dinner.

Okay, I was just starting to post when the van pulled up. We had a bunch of burglaries in the neighborhood on Thursday night. Highly unusual for this neighborhood -- well, sadly, it is getting more common in the general area. Anyway, they wanted to interview someone about the break ins. They came to my door (and a lot of others) and asked if they could ask me a few questions about it, but I said no thanks, not ready for my moment of fame.

So that was the SECOND most exciting thing here today. The MOST exciting was that I bought a Roku box and managed to set it up all by myself. The hardest part was threading the wires through the holes in the media center and finding my wifi password.

Haven't had much of a chance to try it yet. Other than that, I had coffee, read the paper, cleaned the den and messed it up again. Dinner with mom later.

Church, lunch with friend, then we both went to the gym, shopped at Kohl's, stopped and had a buy one get one free at ice cream place, dropped her off at her place.

Ready to take a nap.

We had a birthday party for the family for our granddaughter who turns 18 tomorrow. She is such a lovely young lady. We served subs with chips and dip and fruit. Birthday cake and ice cream. Lots of talking and laughter. Fun day for her. Lots of nice gifts too. She was a happy girl. Tomorrow on her real birthday her dad is taking the immediate family out for dinner. We will give her our gift then. Now we are enjoying the quiet and the football game.

Getting over the creeping crud here, too. Still very weak. I've got a ton of laundry to do. Just thinking of those three flights downstairs, to the laundry room, and back up multiple times, makes me want to take a nap.
Put a nice pork shoulder in the crockpot yesterday afternoon for pulled pork today, made a big dish of coleslaw. Hubby said he couldn't stand it longer, and had pulled pork sandwiches at 3:00 a.m. when he got up. And has had four more since!
He's beating himself up because he didn't grab any chips or snack stuff for the game today. Wish I felt better, I can usually throw together a tray of 'something' for him to snack on.

Ang, I'm sorry you feel bad..I have to go outside to do laundry..so I haven't yet..lol..

Last 3 patties are in the skillet, rolls are shaped and rising..just pulled the loin roast out of the fridge..

Still need to get my cookie bars together...soon as these patties are done..
The down side of the home ground pork..more grease!
I'm going to have to scour the kitchen!

Seachickens game is about to start..I might open a window so I can hear my neighbors..they are huge Fans! They are so funny to listen to!

We were planning to go see a movie, but DH's gout flared up last night. We stayed home today and I just worked on some organizing projects I've been meaning to get around to.

I have bridge here tomorrow so I've been puttering around getting the place ready for vacuuming and dusting. Washed a few windows, cleaned out the pantry closet(should have saved that for after bridge) baked a cake, went to Wine and Cheese (made sausage balls) and I'm sitting down until 8:00. Will do a bit of vacuuming tonight and make a dip for tomorrow and will finish up cleaning tomorrow when I can see.

I had planned to do laundry, and other household chores to get ready for the work week, but Alex decided he wanted to go see a movie. We haven't seen a lot of him lately and so we picked him up. We were going to see Hurcules, his choice, but we were all too late, he was originally supposed to meet us there. Anyway, ended up seeing 47 Ronin. It was ok, almost fell asleep in the beginning. A little hokie but not horribly so.

We ate a late lunch at Wendys in the car, because Alex was starving and we only had 30 minute till the movie. Lauren wanted to spend some time with her new boyfriend this evening so we were limited on time.

After I dropped her off I went to Trader Joe's to get a few things. Now I'm home. Threw some towels in the washer, put a beef roast and veggies in the crockpot for work lunches and Lauren. Then made my dinner. I got some fun English cheese, whole grain crackers, Kalmata (sp?) olives and some clams in butter/garlic sauce. Teeny tiny clams-lol.

Going to watch Revenge later and wait for Lauren to come home. She knows she's supposed to be home by 9:30 and so does her boyfriend!

I look back at all I did today and I wore myself out..lol.. I am kicked back on the couch..watching the last of the game..

Just a touch of dishes left..

Got a few things on my mind to do tomorrow.

I made 10 sausage-n-egg on a croisant sandies. Then went shopping & purchased:a new feather on a stick cat toy, kitty chia grass, Whiskas filet mignon cat food and a new Vampire book. YAY!

I didn't do a lot. Finished cleaning my bedroom. It looks all pretty again. Cleaned out my purse. It's a lot lighter now. Took a shower and cooked dinner. Tomorrow I tackle the kitchen.

We had DD and her DH and 2 darling grandsons for an overnight. 7 year old lost his front tooth snacking on a Rice Crispie Treat after lunch, DSILs sneaky plan to get that very loose tooth pulled out naturally. Shopped with DD for a rash guard for GS at our great resale shop. Found some good deals on 2 rash guards, 1 pair pirate print trunks in the next size, a shirt, and a pair of shorts. Then back home to help them pack up the car for their return home about 75 minutes north. Packed up lots of baked goodies for them to take home. They are living in the master bedroom and study for 4 months while the downstairs is getting a renovation with a complete gutting of the kitchen down to the studs. She is preparing their meals with a microwave and that is about it.
