I hope this works out for you, Eileen. Sometimes we can't understand why certain things happen, only to see why later.

I don't think anyone quite understands when your totally alone how scary it can be. I just know things have got to start getting better for you, and they will.

Good luck, Eileen. You might try looking for a widow (or widower, maybe) who is interested in someone to live in their home for primarily companionship. I would think Arizona would have a lot of elderly, lonely people because of its retirement reputation. Years ago, a friend of my mother's did exactly that and, at different times, lived with several older individuals for a very nominal rent. I would maybe contact local churches for possibilities. In any case, I hope it all works out for you. You are due some sunshine.

My brother needed a temporary place to stay in a new town where he got a job. He found an elderly gentleman that wanted to share his home so that the man's family would know that he was ok. Once the man needed more care, my brother moved out so a home health worker could move in. It was a great situation while he was there. They both had the same religious beliefs and my brother ended up becoming good friends with the man's adult children and attending their church.

Maybe you could find someone similar through your church.

Good luck to you and I hope you can find a good place to move to soon. The anxiety and aggravation of your current situation must weigh heavily on you and I think it'll be a great change when you find a new place to live and you'll have a new outlook on the future. Thanks all. There was a lady at church who has two houses she has been trying to rent out with no success. If I can get a deal with her I may be able to find a house. Not sure where the houses are located though. There are lots of empty rentals around here.

that's good news, at least something positive to investigate, good luck with that.

Just finished talking to my landlord. I could not have designed a solution any better than this. I will pay him Oct and Nov rent on Monday afternoon. Then in December I will be there in the house using my security deposit as rent and I will move the 1st week of January into my new place. This gives me 2 months to find a place, maybe a new job, and pack and move. Wow! I was saying to myself in the car just before I dialed the landlord's number - Jesus, I trust in you. What ever God wants. And He came through! Just like that.

My new Bible study class I do on Thursday evenings is just fantastic. The Hebrew word for sin is chet which means missing the mark. Doing God's commandments is hitting the mark. I wrote that Hebrew word down also.

So another adventure begins. Turns out my the gal sitting next to me at my new seasonal job is a real estate agent who also does rentals so she is going to look for me as well as one or two other people.

Then we shall have a new decorating project to do!!!
