We also did a huge kitchen remodel about 2 1/2 yrs. ago. I have a silgranit sink in gray, which I absolutely love. It's undermount and sits about 2 1/2 inches from the front end of the counter. It's also deep, about 11 inches and about 30 inches across. I have an 11 ft. island which is where the sink is and there is no back to it. Our electrical sockets are from Mockett. The kind that pop up and it's probably the neatest gadget we have! The sink is also a single not a double and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it but I can't complain. Don't really miss the double but I did at first!! I got a great deal from Home and Stone (internet). Same sink by Blanco but much better price. Saved about $250. Good luck!

There is 4 inches from the front of the cabinet top to the the front edge of the sink. That works for me.

The sink is in a corner, and the space to the corner is 29 inches from the back of the sink. That corner does not get a good cleaning unless I get on a step stool.

You want to stand as close as you can, and not have a sink so deep that your back hurts when you reach to the bottom of it.

Mine is a double white porcelain undermount, 36" wide and 17" back to front overall. One side is 12" wide and 7" deep. The other is 21" wide and 9" deep. The larger sink bumps out at the outside corner, adding another 2" to the back to front dimension.Single-handle pull-out spray faucet. It's under the window. Also have a 15" round 8" deep white porcelain prep/bar sink on the island. House is nine years old -- happy with both.

I agree with Chisue - put the sink as close to the front edge of the counter as possible. My sink is an undermount that's 9" deep, which makes it a bit over 10" with the counter. That's a bit too deep for my back's comfort, though I love how much it holds.

I am not home to measure, but I would guess it's only about 2.5 inches from the front of the counter. I have the large sink on one side and a smaller sink on the other. I don't care for this sink at all. The small sink is not big enough to do anything with and it's the side with the disposal. I would prefer a single sink.

I know I want a single bowl, undermount.

I was told that a sink with an outside dimension of 32x19 would not fit, so I am now looking at a 30x18.

Mine is as deep as I could find. I wanted a single bowl but went with one really large and one a bit smaller bowl...I forget how deep it is but it is wonderful. my largest pot is a boiling water bath canner and it easily fits into my sink. My sink is in an island so it fits pretty close to the edge and is close to the higher side of the island as well.
