We have a Dacor MOV230S double wall oven which has served us very well since I installed it in May 2009. We have no real complaints, except for a some slight difficulty we experience while relocating the racks. (Our old Bosch just seemed to allow the racks to be moved around with greater ease.) Only one full extension glide rack is provided by Dacor even though there are two oven. There are plenty of regular (75% or so extension) racks. Extra full extension glide racks can be purchased but they are rather expensive. (Be careful when ordering extra glide racks because the Dacor part numbering system is a dyslexic's nightmare.) I initially wanted to get a second glide rack, but that desire has subsided as we use the lower oven less often - plus the regular racks extend rather far anyway and removing a heavy item from the lower oven is not at all difficult. For us, the preheat time is very fast...10 to 12 minutes is typical. It is about twice the speed of the old Bosch. When we bake cookies, every one comes out great. And the meat probe works just fine...although I do wish the beeper was very much louder. The beep is actually adjustable in tone and volume, but I wish it would allow me to set it even louder. It makes only one beep upon the predetermined probe temperature being reached. If the tone repeated every 30 seconds or so until you disabled it, that would be nice. I'd check out the Miele for this feature. I also wish the control panel would stay lit all the time so the clock was usable when the oven was idle. The time is always displayed, but without the backlighting, the clock is very hard the read. On the old Bosch, the clock was illuminated all the time. I don't know if the Miele display lighting goes off during idle periods. If so, I suspect their clock would likewise not be easily seen then. Our neighbor has a 30" Miele double wall oven (sorry - don't know the model) and they like it very much. I will say that the Miele control panel is extremely nice, even fancier than our Dacor control panel. Antss comment is valid:"...it makes me wonder how they (Dacor) use less robust (cheaper) materials, don't have to charge oversea shipping, duties, and currency arbitrage, lower wages, and still manage to be the same price?" Had we not found a store display model Dacor at a phenomenal price (>75% off!), we would probably have ended up with a Miele or perhaps even the LG double wall oven. As stated, we are very pleased with the Dacor. And believe it or not, even with the amazingly low price we paid, Dacor still gave us a 7 piece set of their "hot dots" cookware when we registered the oven.

We have an LG FD that is about 7 years old. Unless their quality has vastly improved, I would not buy another LG. The interior plastic is very flimsy and does not stand up to normal usage by a two person household. Also, on one of the doors the door plastic clip (impossible to replace) that holds the door shut has now broken off so the door does not shut tightly without an extra push. And, I need to remember to do give the extra push since the broken clip also causes the beeper reminder about the door being open not to work.

I have the HE5t without steam. I don't have any reason to have the steam function. I love my new washing machine, I've had it a bit over a month. I do dry the boot after the last load of the day and leave the door open when not in use. I use normal for most of my loads, I have also used Heavy Duty, great for hubby's outside clothes and Whitest Whites. I used the Sanitary function one time just to use it and it 'cleaned' as well as Whitest Whites. I have run the Clean Washer cycle one time, but I don't think that it needed it. The water comes up higher on the window and I had no suds, probably because I've been using Charlie's Soap exclusively. I sure wish that I had a light in my washing machine!

I purchased all Samsung kitchen appliances only to find my over the range microwave wouldn't fit, because it did not have a zero clearance door. I reordered a Frigidaire microwave. The microwave display is very bright white. Not only does the brightness of the display bother me, but the fact that it is a different color than the blue display on the Samsung range below it. So much so, that I'm looking in to the possibility of changing the light bulb or lense cover. I'm not sure if it's possible.. P.S I don't have the backsplash in yet, so don't judge me for my temporary fix to cover the ugly damaged backsplash.
