I used Fancifull Rinse when I lightened my hair to blonde. Tthe blonde shades of Fancifull made a good toner that was gentle on my hair.

When I decided to let my hair go gray, I used Fancifull in "silver lining" to blend my gray roots with the bleached blonde ends as it grew out.

I think Fancifull probably works best on bleached hair. I know it didn't do much to cover my gray roots when I was trying to remain a brunette!

I keep my hair dyed...but it grows out so fast...and the roots are pure white...so I use it a lot.

It covers well but if you wash your hair every day you have to keep replacing it.

I don't know what color you plan to go to...but remember not to go too dark.

I have a friend who used to have natural black hair...and dyed it black for years...It looked terrible.

I ran into her about a year ago and she had finally gotten wise and dyed it a darker brown. It looked natural on her.

The bad thing about Fanci full for me is...in the summer times I've been known to sweat brown...LOLOL

Oh...one more thing...I meant to add...they have changed their packaging. Instead of being a gray colored bottle it is now pink , ovaled instead of round bottle and it now is about 3 ounces less but still the same price.

Funny you should ask. A couple weeks ago I was cleaning out my bathroom cupboard and found a bottle of Fanci Full. I started to toss it then thought I'd try it next time I needed a quick fix for grown out roots.

When I was a sophomore or junior in high school I really, really wanted to color my mousey brown hair. I finally talked my mother into letting me do it and off to the store I went. I picked up a bottle of Fanci Full "Coffee Bean Brown". Why the heck didn't they just say "BLACK" on the bottle! OMG, I never washed my hair some many times in a 24 hour period. well except when my hair was cut really, really, really short and I thought washing it would make it grow back faster ... but I digress. :-)

It must not be made the same anymore...because one wash is it is nearly all gone...the roots are white again...but maybe not as shocking white as before using it.

pattico, Fanci-Ful is just a rinse - it comes out each time you shampoo - it's not a semi-permanent color. That said, it does have good colors that come true on your hair, isn't expensive, & is great for roots between colorings. It's an old brand that started as a salon-only product, then moved to the consumer side.

jodi, I've not heard of shampooing making hair grow faster - wouldn't that be great for bad cuts!

You may want to try LOVING CARE. It's a demi permanent color that will cover gray. When you pick a color, go lighter rather than darker. Most over the counter colors result in hair being darker than desired. Loving Care will wash out after about ten shampoos. Follow the directions and timing. Good luck.

The last time I did anything to my hair was EONS ago. My DD talked me into doing a semi permanent color a tiny bit of strawberry blonde onto my dirty blonde. My dh was away on business and she assured me that it would wash out in a day or two. Yeah right! I looked like Carrot-top! I must of washed my hair every hour. No help, though it did take the 'brassiness' away. LOL! That was in a green and tan box. They still make it, I'm not sure what the brand is. Umm, Natural Instincts?

So if you don't dye your hair will the fanci ful make the gray look a tad darker than gray? The ad I saw says
"Enriches color & adds shine
Gently blends gray away
No ammonia, No peroxide"

This is called a temporary hair color .
The ad says
" Rinses my gray away, right away.
I just blend in the color and in a
matter of minutes I look and

I thought I would just buy a shade of one what they call the gold category. If it 'disguises' the gray ....

It was from the fanciful rinses that we always referred to the "blue haired ladies" meaning elders that used the blue cast rinse in their white hair.
Even to this day when I am behind an extremely slow driver one of my kids will make a comment about following a "blue hair"
I think these rinses are a wonderful rinse that is just for touch ups between using colors with peroxide, rather than for the color that you want for keeps.
It can be troublesome if you sweat at night on the pillowcase, as well as collars of shirts, and just hot flash type sweating.
The plus is, if you don't like it, it will be gone in no time.

OMG. When I was a senior in high school (1967) my BFF and I decided to change our hair color. My hair was medium-to-light brown, but I wanted dark, dark brown (Heaven only knows why...). I didn't want to do anything permanent to my hair since I didn't know if I would like it or not, so I bought a bottle of FanciFull. Did it one evening, on a week night. To me, my hair color didn't look any different at all... Well, the next day while walking from one end of campus to the other between classes, it started to rain... It POURED, and I didn't have an umbrella with me.

Yep, when I got to class, I had dripped dark brown all over my blouse... I've never gone near that stuff again.

I have been using FanciFull for many years to cover my gray -works great with frequent application (daily almost). Now, I want to 'go gray' and even after I wash, it seems that Fancifull has actually 'stained' my gray hair. Any suggestions to completely remove "Hidden Honey" from my gray hair?

Well, it's 2017 and I have a suggestion for Sugirard_yahoo_com. LOL. Try Roux Clean Touch stain remover. It takes hair color off of your face, etc. But they say you can use it on your ends to remove excess color. It could work for you. Or anyone with the staining problem.
