I believe it can be their way of visiting. I've had a lot of experience with this, so I can usually tell if I'm having a dream visit, or just a dream. Those visits can be powerful.

Yes I do.At least I think I'm dreaming of them. I've been dreaming or seeing the same 2 people. My cousin died 2 years ago and my sister-in-law just died this past June. I'm not sure if I'm actually dreaming about them but I do see them at night when I'm asleep.

It's funny that when I dream of my mother who has passed, it's always in the home of my childhood. She had not lived there for over 10 years before she died.

The other night I dreamed that I ran for and won a special election to fill out Ted Kennedy's senate term! I went to go see Obama's state of the union address but was late. He hadn't come in yet but everybody else was there already. I didn't know where Kennedy's seat was so I just took the first one I found. Then I thought, Kennedy must have had a better seat than this. I asked a page for help and he guided me to where I was supposed to be. I was right on the center aisle. I thought, at leat I'll get to shake the president's hand as he comes in. I started chatting up the guy sitting next to me and after a few minutes I said, by the way, I'm 'soandso soandso'. He replied, 'I'm Senator Robert Byrd'. Then I thought wow, this guy's either full of himself, or Senator's his first name!

Then I woke up. I'm not even from Massachussetts. And I hate politics!

I dream of dead people more than those who are still

My DH, sister, Mom and I visit a lot. My Father-in-law
visits a lot - and I never knew him. He died when my
DH was 16. Strange, a bit.

I've heard "IF it seems like a dream, it is a dream. IF it is vivid and it seems like it is real, then it is a visit". There is a noticeable difference. I rarely dream of dead people, but think I may have had one 'visit'.

Yes, occasionally I do. When I dream about my dad he usually looks about twenty years younger than he did when he died. My mom says it's probably because I didn't like the idea of him looking older. (I like to think that it's because he looks like that NOW!)

I dream about two of my closest friends who have died. One was 50 and the other was 58. They always look just like they did and are always laughing and right in the middle of everything. (Just as they were in real life.)

Yes! My husband died 2 3/4 years ago and I frequently have a dream, where we are doing something fun together - it's as if he's still here with me - vibrant and well and we are out on our boat or hiking, etal. Often,I dream of him after I have said my bedtime prayer for him - he's on my mind as I fall asleep - he's the last thought I have every night.

I wish I dreamed about dead people. I'd like to "see" my dad. I seldom dream about anything; that I can remember.

Kayjones - it sounds like you really loved your hubby! It must be kind of a bummer to wake up from those dreams!!

Yes, I do frequently. I dream about relatives and friends who have died. When I dream about my parents, the 3 of us are around the same age and we are always at the house I grew up in. My mom sold that house in 1977 but I have been there twice since then.

Yes I had the same younger dream about my dad - only he was in his army uniform and was much younger.
I also had a friend's father come to me in a "dream" to tell me he had died and that everything was OK. I told hubby about the dream and the next evening it was in the newspaper that he really had died. It still gives me chills.

Yes, sometimes our son comes to visit.

No, I only dreamed of someone that had died and it was my Mother in law right after she had died. It seemed like we were talking to each other over the phone. I told her I got some of her clothes and she was glad. It seemed very real at the time. However since then, I have not dreamed of anyone that is dead.

Yes, as I mentioned above I saw my SO in several dreams soon after he died. One particular one was disturbing. He said,"What I can't understand is why you let me die". He had been on life support and his family made the decision to remove him from it. I was included in the meeting with the doctors because I was close to him, but not a family member.

Other dreams of him weren't that upsetting; and I thought I'd remember them but now can't. He died in 2006. I've seen my father who died in 1992 in dreams. Mom doesn't understand why he has never "come" to her.

I dream about my Dad all the time. In my dream he is always asking if I am OK. So I always tell him I am OK, seems pretty real to me.

Right after my mother passed I had a dream of her comming to see me,it was so vivid,I woke up thinking wow shes still here..She wasin my bedroom,

In a dream about my father he looked like pictures that I had seen of him when he was young. He was riding in the back of a truck that look liked the one that the family in THE GRAPES OF WRATH drove to California. There were other peole in the truck with him. He was telling me and my hair stylist to get in the truck which was moving slowly. I had not seen the movie in years when I had the dream, and barely knew the hair stylist.

Yes, I do and the other night, I dreamed that I was at my own funeral but I was alive and trying to get things ready for all who were there. Now that was prety odd.
