Old Super 8 home movies....

Remember them? We've got some film and I understand they can be made into CDs or DVDs or something current. I'm a little scared of turning them over to someone because our deceased son is in them. Where do you look for someone who can do this...like what would their title or business be listed under?

Also, is there any use for the old movie screens? We have one of those, too, that's in perfect shape. I think we'd bought a new one just as Super 8's were being phased out and video cams were coming in. Maybe we could sell ours if there's a use for them.

Or, even better, if we could get our projector repaired we could show the Super 8's, 8mm and 16mm films to our grandkids. DH even has some cartoons that his folks bought for him back in the day...Heckle and Jeckle and Woody Woodpecker and a couple of others. My folks have a ton of films and slides from us kids growing up. We sure had a lot of fun watching ourselves "in the movies" back then.

What have some of you done with your old films and slides?
