I have looked at both of these and still am unsure what will best fit our families needs.
I am moving up from a Kitchen Aid 600 Pro (which my SIL will be getting).
Dh and I make 2-6 loaves of bread a week. Always at least one loaf of Challah and the rest is artisan or whole grain bread. Sometimes with the artisinal dough, the KA really struggles through the kneading and I often find my challah bread dough is loose enough that the bottom is not getting kneaded very well at all. We also make Pizza, mash potatoes, grind fish and use the Kitchen aid for all our baking kneads (Sorry about the pun - couldn't resist LOL).
I want something super easy to clean, and relatively easy to use. I understand there is a learning curve with the DLX but how hard is it truly to use.
I also want something that can whip a single egg white and handle 5 pounds of oatmeal cookie dough.
A blender that can pulverize ice would be nice but isn't essential.
So I've narrowed it down to the new Bosch Universal Plus or the Electrolux DLX. Suggestions, advice and personal experiences would be really helpful here.
