Another 'beauty' product

This past week, when I was getting my nails done, a woman came in with her own polish...called Del Sol.

Has anyone ever heard of it?

The polish was a diamonette-like sparkle, but when she put her hand in the ultraviolet dryer, the polish changed to deep red.

Took her hand out, in a few minutes it faded back to the original color.

She said it turned in sunlight (of course(smacking myself up the head - ultraviolet light!).

The polish comes in many colors(not just sparkly silver) that change in sunlight.

I'm thinking of using it in the summer...for sandals.

Knowing my daughter and her nail polish obsession, she probably has it. Personally, I've never heard of it. Is it something you can get at Sephora?

My DD had some of that years ago. I think my SIL bought her some at a kiosk at the mall.. they had shirts too that had designs that changed color in the sun.

I got a cub ZTR 42" 17HP ELS briggs I mow about 1 1/3 ac. Had it about 5 years now got close to 200 hours on it. Still mows good! I think they come with a better engine on them now. Got mine for $1900 was a year end model retailed then for 2495. Things I like: quick, goes up/down/sideways on hills real good. easy on gas, Only had one problem with it, had about 15 hours on it and it went dead, dealer come and got it, fixed it and have had no problems since. Things I don't like about it: The ELS is hard staring after it sets a couple of days, I usually just prime it so I don't have to grind on the starter. But, It runs good after that. Does vibrate some, on ruff area of my yard not all that pleasent, but it an entry level model. Kind of loud. I think the troy built is the same just red in color. Only thing I had to replace other than blades and routine pre-ventive maintenance was the front wheel swivel bushings and washers. Dust and dirt works it's way in and eats the pin bushings and washers up, course I have sandy soil, so I'm sure this wears them out quicker. Would I buy another one? I dought it I want one with a vanguard twin and suspension. Course as you have found they are twice as much, but I getting older and comfort will go along ways in my later few years.

Gracie, I think all their footies are made of fleece. If not, then yes. Busy, these aren't really slippers, no cushioned soles or anything. Cold front came in last night and the highs (after 61 days of 100+ temps) will be in the 70s & 80s. Lows in the 50s. I am so excited!! Nancy, I was like you when I first discovered Scrubbing Bubbles. I was like, "where have I been all these years?(", lol.

I think I could handle Ginger wine in the Swedish mulled Wine.... my friend used to put slices of fresh ginger in it when she made it at Christmas. Name one big company that does not engage in deceptive/dishonest/monopolistic business practices. To the extent they can get away with it, they will do it. They have teams of lawyers and accountants advising them on what they can get away with, and yet they are the target of so many lawsuits. If an organization starts rating companies on the ethical scale, the companies will find out what it takes to get a high score and game that rating process! I got some a few years ago at Rite-Aid- they had all kinds of different colors. My favorite in the summer is one that starts out blue and then turns to green. It is fun for toes!

The shirts Lydia was talking about were called Hypercolor? I did a search for hypercolor nail polish and found this.

Hi folks, if you go anywhere in the Caribbean Islands, you can get Del Sol. When we were cruising, that was one of the hot sellers no matter which port you went into. As a matter of fact, in the cruiseline promotion booklet there were coupons for the Del Sol shopping bags. They have a lovely graphic on them in very pale shades but when you go into the sun, the colours are unbelievable. I've had one bag over 5 yrs & it still works like a charm. I never purchased the nail polish although I sure thought about it. The problem with me was that we had gotten beautiful manicures and pedicures in Costa Rica for $20 and we didn't want to ruin them. Del Sol has been around a long time.

it been big here in orlando for a couple of yrs, i have 2 colors of del sol. you need to have toes done yr round here lol i wear sandals almost 365 days a yr and i have an entire dresser drawer of polishes! ~ liz
