I wish I had the luxury of staying home! I have to work, though the weather is gorgeous.

I started a new medication at night that makes me drowsy and I'm having a hard time staying awake at my desk! I just want to take a nap.

Reached our hi of 44 already. Temps dropping all day and will end up in the teens by Wed morning. brrrrr

-18 here. Doing my best to not go out for anything!

I'm sitting in the upstairs computer and can hear the wind howl. After that last bout of frigid (4 degrees) temperatures, I'm not too crazy to see anything near that again.

Two nice features on our new car that I have come to love are that it can be started while you're still inside and that it has bun warmers.

I turned the bedroom A/C off around 4 a.m. and turned on the ceiling fan. It's just past 7 a.m. now and the sun is rising through cloud cover over Haleakala. It's 76F. Huge surf off northern shores of Oahu and Maui today. Weather predictions here always include wind direction and surf heights off all the shores.

It's supposed to be single digits at home in Chicago, but it looks like snow will fall mainly south of the city. With wind from the north, our home will probably still get 'lake effect snow'.

Cool and windy and light snow today--14 above, but dropping. Went out to Bible study--not bad.

It is currently 24 degrees...our expected high for the day. We already have a few inches of snow on the ground, and they are calling for up to 10" here. I hate snow!! And I'm sick of winter.

Chi83, we are very spoiled here in Cali~~but we will pay for it in the end if we have a drought season~Fires~

36 degrees and dropping in NE Mississippi... and that wind is really blowing and whistling. I have a grocery list but like Glenda have decided to stay in. I am going to make a big pot of chicken vegetable soup and some hot cornbread to feast on. Then I may make some cookies and brownies and apple cobbler and who knows what all, though when it gets right down to it, I will just stop with the soup and cornbread.

An evil Siamese cat lives near us and loves to come on the patio and growl at my sissy cat. This morning Old Evil is hunkered down in a raised flower bed in the backyard. Just too cold for him too

That's true, there are trade-offs for everything! I just know I am done with the snow and bitter cold so i'll take fires and earthquakes any day. :)

Supposed to be in the 70's here in Nor Cal. Certainly not our typical winter weather and no rain in sight for the rest of Jan. We are at drought status now.

Cold here. Not much difference in our high and low today, both in single digits. I need to run out to the grocery store and then we have a basketball game at 6 p.m.
I had to get dressed early today because the appliance repair guy came at 11 to look at my fridge and order a part for the ice dispenser. Fridge is only 2-1/2 years old. He said they don't make them like they used to.

We are at 38..foggy..sun is trying relly hard to peek out..

I'm warm and cozy, still in my fleece pj's. Outside it is 30ð, 1-2 inches of snow. Roads, my driveway and the sidewalks appear to be clear, but it is still snowing, and going down to 1ð tonight. HUH?

Yesterday was sunny and chilly, but very windy. I had to be at the lab early for (another) blood draw. My DD picked me up at 10 o'clock; we went to the lab, then had a doctor. appointment at 1 o'clock, so we went shopping, then had lunch and on to the doctor. I love my doctor. She had gotten the report by the time we got there, and it was good; she clapped her hands and said "Yay, Yay!" You gotta love a doctor like that.

Tomorrow I have an appointment for an abdominal CT scan, but depending on the weather, I may change that. Supposed to be partly sunny and colder, down to 16ð.

I'm so glad we also went grocery shopping yesterday. I'm well stocked up now, so let it snow!

I'm doing just what you are doing, Glenda.....staying in my fleece gown, fleece pajama pants and robe, and not leaving this house. The winds are awful. It did get up to 47 degrees and the sun sure makes it look deceiving out there, but the temps will be steadily dropping. 18 for a low tonight with a real feel of 3. Oh brrrrr. How I hate to see our gas bill for this month.

And my best friend and DH are supposed to be in Boston, today, after driving up from B'ham.

Their second home, is complete, ready for their walk thru this week and closing.

brrrrrrrrrr!!!!! And Viv hates the cold :o) BUT she has two sets of family there and 6 grandkids.

Below zero (your talk) here today. Few flurries yesterday - not to amount to much, not substantial wind.

Took the clothes off of the line yesterday, that I'd installed early last week, draped them around the living room to get the last touch of drying done.

If I hadn't got the car out (that's an '05 and lacks both remote start and bun warmer) ... I wouldn't be talking to you guys now.

14 and snowing here. Just came back from a three mile walk with the dogs. The Dachshund had snow up to his armpits. They got to use their new coats I bought them at Target. We got 4 inches and it will get to zero tonight with 20 below wind chill.

Stayed home all day today. Only accomplishment was to bathe Georgyâ¦..she got hold of a frozen dead fish from a nearby pond while DH was walking her. He thought it was a stick. Needless to say, she smelled pretty bad. We're going out to dinner shortly and then I have to play bridge. We're suppose to get 3 -4 inches of snow tonight so driving home should be fun. I do have 4-wheel and as long as it isn't icy, I'll be okay.

Fogggged in (me, shivering) again with frozen fog early this am. The ole' sun is waging a great war with it tho, and wins some then loses more. Had DS drive me to the Dr appt. today; good news... brain is NOT atrophying so the crazy balance issue continues to puzzle. I wanna be in No California with Matti where it is 70 deg..... nearing 40 here.

The wind shifted, so we just missed a lake effect blizzard, dumping 24" only 20 miles West. About 3"/hr. This place is good for many a giggle. Staying home cause its 47 degrees. Had to get dressed 'early' at 11am. Running an AC at a freezing 76 degrees. 2 inches of snow. Sure helps create a smile some days.

I have to go out Friday and Saturday but that's it! I don't do minus temps and yet more snow....(se mi) we did have sunshine all day, but of course it never gets warm! and yes, I don't dress, either...

Current temp is 17 but with wind chill feels like 2 degrees. Snow is still falling heavily. Forecast is for 2 to 4 more inches tonight and the tomorrow even lower temps and high winds.

We all ready have a nice sized drift in the driveway. Thank goodness it is the powdery snow, but still will be a bear to clear the driveway even with the snow blower.

It's one now with a wind index of minus 20. We got about 4 or 5 inches of snow.

Glenda, it is cold. I have been watching your area too.

It is bitter cold here in Indiand. 1 degree here this morning. The sun is trying to come out. Thank goodness the wind isn't blowing. The snow plow just went through. Our schools have either been closed or on a one hour delay every day. They were closed an entire week after the Christmas holiday.

Cold here. Around twenty below. Glenda - your weather sounds wonderful. Oh well - this will pass.
