Last night was horrible. I thought of the 12 that only 2 were good. The african american guy and the girl with (awful) reddish color hair. Don't want to offend anyone but her hair looks terrible...but she has a great voice. Not too many people can sing anything by Heart. I did think the welder was pretty good. SamKaren your resident DJ

Simon's right (IMHO) that Michael probably was not going to win the competition, but he sure is likeable, charming and attractive. I'm glad that he's going on tour with the rest of the finalists, maybe that'll further his career and get him away from such a dangerous job. His little girl is adorable! He's just so gosh darn likeable and real! To me - Megan is just plain awful! Scott is not doing as well as what I thought he was doing in the beginning. I don't understand Matt's appeal to the judges. (Maybe it's his appearance that doesn't spell "Idol" to me.) Allison is usually good. I wasn't so wild about her performance this week. Of course Kris is one that I'm voting for every week. He's an Arkansas kid and has talent, I think. Figure Adam will be the winner and I think he's pretty darn versatile (and easy on the eyes...LOL) Lil's performance this week wasn't good. I do think she has a big ol, powerful voice, though and usually like what she does.

Can't figure out the problem with Lil. She has a strong voice, but I don't think she has the range. Maybe that's why she continues to miss notes a lot. She should have gone a long time ago. I like her - a lot, but not for Idol. She may make a good background singer, maybe even for a heavy hitter singer or group. But she just doesn't seem to be able to make it solo. Anoop - some days he's up; some days, down. There are too many good ones left to keep him. He'll go far, if he looses the overconfidence. Not sure what will happen because it is getting pretty tight. I don't like the group this year as much for showmanship, as I have past groups. They seem flat to me with group songs and activities - sort of not-ready-for prime-time. Individually, I think some of them do have it though.

Adam was incredible--Not being into 80's music (back in those days, I was raising my daughter and listening to things like "It's not Easy Being Green"; "One of these things is not like the other"--LOL), I wasn't really familiar with the song he did--but I've decided I love it. As to handing Adam the contract and closing down? Know that was asked tongue-in-cheek, but there's every possibility he won't win. He could have a bad week and lose ground. One of the others might step up and do something incredible. OR--and I really think this is a huge possibility... While the votes don't mean a lot, the show pretty much picks the person who is popular with the public, that they feel they can work with, they do use the votes as a guide to what the public is into--but I don't believe for a second that the public necessarily chooses the winner (and if you read the fast-scrolling disclaimers at the end of the show, it pretty much says they can override the public vote). Here's the thing--it's possible that the kind of person who might like Adam WON'T vote for him. He's very different, and his fans may not WANT to see him win a mainstream reality show. With the 2 exceptions of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, some of the MOST successful Idol constants haven't been the big winners. The public knows that, and out of kindness to Adam, may choose NOT to vote him into a box that could potentially be a bad fit for him. And if his votes are low enough, the show won't consider him as the next AI. Personally, I think he'll have a much, much better career if he doesn't win. And they are really invested in Danny G, at this point--I get the feeling he's the one they really plan on winning.
