Thought I post an update.

First of all, I feel better. Still cough, still cough up stuff, but it isn't as violent a cough.

I did however cancel my two day trip to Tulsa. Decided, my friends well being was more important. Just didn't want to give my crud to anyone there. :)

I guess, the two days off I requested can be used to keep getting better before returning to work on Thursday.

I feel so fine today, I am actually working... no, not at my job, but I did a load of laundry already, and vacuumed, and did dishes.

Update on the flash sale slippers from the 1daysale site: The medium pair is to small, and the large that they send are mens, but alas, they fit. I'll give the medium pair to my girl friend. :)

Update on the house hunt:

Still hunting. I made offers on three houses now. The first was the HUD house in October, that needed way to many repairs for my budget. But, since then, the "marital residence" sold. Yeah! Now I can pay for a house, when I find the right one.

The second house I made an offer on had to much roof damage, to be able to get insurance, and the owner didn't want to give any kind of an allowance, nor did I want to pay for a new roof, including decking on the formerly wood shingle roof.

Now the third house.. well, there are to many rumors to figure out which one was true, but bottom line is, it must not have been the right one for me.

I am still looking, and I do have time on my side. My lease is not up till May.

The grand kiddos: They are precious. Lori and Doug are doing a marvelous job raising them. Allison had her first day in "big girl panties" yesterday, but alas, had a number two accident at the end of the day. She is back in diapers today.

I am shopping for some pretty training panties for her later today. :)

Nathan... well, contrary to others thinking does eat on his own.. He is not a starving toddler. :)

All in all, life is good.

Glad you're feeling better. You sound good. Hang in there and your dream house will come. When it's meant to be, it will be.

Glad to read your good update. Careful not to overdo, now that you're feeling better. It's something I have a tendency to do myself.

Hey all, Well my Konjacs are in the ground and just barely poking out as it's been a cool spring. I do have a question about A. Bulbifer though. I got a tuber in the mail that looks like it is going to bloom. Should I plant it in a pot and have it outside or can I just leave it inside on a table or shelf like I've heard of people doing with Konjacs when they flower....? Thanks! Z

I am just now getting back due to bad weather we had to unplug the computer.Ashley had several nose bleeds after she came home and last nite.No she did not pick her nose.What happen ,she has always had them.With all this pollen,her sinitus is bad,her nose drys out,and her blood vessels are really weak.We are planning to see a ENT doctor because since she has them so often.Thanks from the bottom of my heart for ALL who replyed to this post.You have been very helpful.We had to throw away her good shirt since it was so bad covered.She got very sick to her stomach.Yes she did panic and Greg [my hubby] told her to try not to panic because it made her bleed worst and he talked to her several times over the phone assuring her she would not die over this.I was told also to go to CVS and ask them if they sell something you can shoot up her nose to stop it.Someone just told us they do sell something that she could carry in her purse,that would stop it right than.Thanks again for ALL your help.She goes to the tanning bed but we told her not to go today since she could get it bleeding again getting hot.Yesterday after they got it to stop bleeding,she is going to dog grooming school,she got hot and it broke loose again.So that is why we do not think she needs to go tan today.

Once a friend of mine sent me a Christmas gift but it never came, until 6-9 months later! It was a homemade fruitcake. I was swapping with Kiwi who's in New Zealand and my package never got to her. Weeks later it showed up back at my house, pretty mangled. I had to resend it to her. I've had a few Netflix movies disappear when I mailed them back. I was putting them in my mailbox and putting the flag up but I only did it very rarely, usually I drop them in the drive thru mail drop in front of our post office. So, I got kinda suspicious that everytime I left them in our mailbox here at the house they would turn up missing. I quit doing that, in fact I only put mail that doesn't belong to me out there anymore. Then about two months ago I was leaving work and dropped my Netflix movies in a curbside box in Lexington and one turned up missing again. I hate getting the ex's mail. He's never lived in my house and I just find it really annoying that they are sending his crap to me.

Thanks Susan. I need reminders like that too. I tend to overdo. That is why I think, I haven't licked this one yet... I went back to work to quick. The reason I posted this update, is to remind myself to take it easy. :)

sounds good, Moni! Your "crud".... my friend and neighbor had it the whole time I lived in Seattle for the
transplant, and then months afterwards. I couldn't see her
for months after I got home. she had that from June through December. My other neighbor, right across the street has been coughing and hacking up stuff for the last 3. The docs have no idea what they have.

Don't forget to keep up the vitamins too. D is good for an immune boost. Its kind of fun house shopping, st first anyway, then it gets exhausting.

I second the "take it easy" advice! I've definitely had relapses when I jumped the gun and I'm glad to know you've got two extra days to rest. Enjoy and read a good book. Moni, I think you are a poster child on how to go forward after divorce--I really admire you, your coping abilities and your planning skills.

Sounds like you're on the mend, but don't overdo! This is OK the weather will change and you could find yourself sick again!
Good luck with house hunting, sounds like you've been through the wringer a bit on that score. LOL

Yes, please take it easy. You certainly don't want a relapse now that you're finally on the mend. It sounds like those 3 houses weren't meant to be - but you'll find one and now that the other place sold you're free.

Oh, I forgot to mention the vita mix blender!!!! It arrived a few days ago, while I was feeling really bad.

I finally opened it today. Made a smoothie! WHOZER! that one has power!!! My smoothie was oj, honey, and a banana. Of course, I had no recipe... I made it all up. It tasted delicious! Totally fabulous. Hope I can come up with the same amounts again. :)

Moni , rock star that you are, continue making giant strides.We love it.
How sweet the 'house" sold and now you can really make some offers on properties.
Be sure you have a great home inspector , that is so important.
No lemons for Moni.
You bought a Vita-mix... hot diggity dawg..Moni how tall is that machine can you fit it on your counter tops? Everytime I see the guy on QVC demonstrate it and all the fabulous things he makes, I am so tempted.The frozen yogurt is incredible.Good luck.

Moni you are an inspiration! You have taken a really bad life situation and have more than survived it, you have conquered it.

I hope you feel completely better soon so you can be back to riding. I know the perfect house for you will come along when it supposed to, good luck with that also.

And the little ones sound awesome.

moni...are you still at home depot? was thinking one of the contractors might hear of a place in decent shape...

i'd avoid hud homes like the plague...they come in take over a house and refuse to make repairs cause they're often more than the house...

case in point the 100 yo detroit resident...her dumb relatives took advantage of the money for mortgage and taxes, so was evicted...of course people were up in arms but also turns out the house was in horrid shape, wouldn't/couldn't fix...thanks be a member of her church took her in...
