Cabinet knobs/pulls & appliance pulls
Comments (2)I am also doing panels for myt refrigerator, dishwasher. I went with a mixture of polished nickel and glass knobs. I did amerock bin pulls and the matching appliance pulls for dishwasher and refrig. I did glass knobs on my glass front cabs and ice box latches on my lower doors and doors above refrig. I think the important thing is for the finish to match. I ordered samples of several knobs, pulls and latches that I liked and then looked at them together to see which looked the most cohesive. Some finishes just don't match even though technically the same. Some of the polished nickel was darker than others. I think you can mix and match but check to see the tones are the same first. Hope that helps...See MoreDress up my cabinets - pulls: knobs or pulls, mixture?
Comments (7)I haven't chosen any of the hardware yet, so I am open to suggestions. But these are pretty cheapo 1980's cabinets, not as nice as any posted here :) The first picture posted is very nice, but those shaker cabinets have more to them than ours. I don't want a very modern look, I like it in other people's kitchens but it's not what fits in my house. Here's the kitchen shortly after we moved in - the paint job the PO did on the cabinets is horrible and needs to be stripped and re-done. The countertops are now concrete, the dishwasher is a new white one, and I'm putting in white subway tile backsplash... so lots of white I love a bright kitchen. Our home is decorated in traditional-transitional style....See MoreAll pulls, or knobs and pulls?
Comments (10)I think a lot depends on what you choose for your hardware style and also what your cabinets look like. I am a pull-lover, and I only use pulls on drawers - never knobs; to me knobs look way too small on drawers unless the drawers are VERY small. But despite my love of pulls I still wouldn't put them on a lot of cabinets, especially uppers. They can look way too heavy and bulky. A very slim modern pull is more managable on an upper. But a chunkier more traditional pull is usually too wide on a cabinet and will not look proportionate. Also, for lowers, some pulls have ends that stick out and get caught in clothing. Do you have pictures of your cabinets and also if the general style of hardware you like? That would help a lot....See MoreFinger pulls vs knobs vs bar pulls, mixing weathered and satin nickel
Comments (2)Hello Lisa MacDonald, i don't think the Weathered Nickel would look bad. I like the leaf design on the front it looks very similar to Century Hardware'sHamilton collection. I think that maybe you should pair a mushroom knob with that cup pull. Adding more pictures would probably help everyone get a better idea of the space and what you are trying to do in your kitchen. Best wishes!...See Morecharlikin
