Long Day

Hello,

Treatment went pretty good today. We saw Dr Thompson and she did the check over saying he is doing very well. I asked her to look at his right eye because it has been red for the last week, mainly in the morning. Nate says it itches sometimes. She thought it was probably due to some allergies and said just to get some eye drops for itch and redness. I also reminded her that she was going to give me more detail on Nates MRI, and she went and printed the report from his file from the radiologist. She read it to us plus gave us a copy to bring home so Jeff could see it also. The results went into detail about the size going from 2.0x2.0x3.2 down to 1.4x1.6.x2.5. It also mentioned that the adema(swelling) was gone and vessels looked good. This all was compaired to the last MRI done in October. It is even a bigger relief seeing this on his report.

Now as for how Nate is feeling today after treatment---not to good. He has been telling me that each treatment he is starting to feel a little worse each time he is done. Today he slept during pretty much the whole treatment.(They give him Benedryl) He doesn't want to eat anymore during treatment for fear of getting sick. He seemed fine on the way home, which was crazy due to the weather, but when we got home he did get sick. He has been laying on the couch and sleeping on and off this whole night. I am sure his body needs the rest. I checked his temp. tonight but it's normal. Going to just watch him tonight but if he still feels bad in the morning I am calling the doctor. I don't want him to get dehydrated.

Nate was off from school today, due to them starting 2nd semester tomorrow. He caught up and passed all his finals. Yes!!!! Hopefully this semester will go a little smoother. Nate thinks his classes should be a little easier also.

We also had a new additon to the family this last week. The boys have been asking for a 2nd dog, so for part of their Christmas gift we gave in. We now have a 3 month old West Highland Terrier named "Oakley". (Another boy in the house, I'm getting out numbered) We got him from a rescue group in Omaha. We put our application in right after the company went back, and after some interviewing and vet checks we picked him up Sunday afternoon. I was trying to get some pictures on the site but things wouldn't work for me tonight. I hope to get them on by next week along with some from Nate's New Years night with friends.

Well, going to go check on Nate. It sounds like he is awake.(I hope he can sleep tonight) Again, thanks so much for all your prayers. It's so nice hearing the new report from the doctor. We all are keeping a very positive mind and this all has helped keep us motivated to get through this. Take Care, Monica

Thank you all for the continued prayers.

Leslie
