I am interested in these stones as well (in very early stages of planning). Is it correct that Santa Cecilia is, overall, darker than Crema Bordeaux? What other stones are similar to these too (I think Bianco Romano is one). TIA for sharing any pictures.

I have seen very light pieces of Creme Bordeaux and very dark pieces. There can a large range for that stone. The Santa Ceclia my local stone wharehouse has been getting has had a lot of black in it and is darker than what they used to get. Depends I guess on where they are in the quarry and the stones can change as they move through it, at least that is what the stone seller told me. I would imagine if a stone is available from different Quarries it will also depend on where they get it. The same thing with Giallo Ornamental, both it and Santa Cecelia I liked in the older samples I had seen but were not what I was looking for in the new slabs at the warehouse.
If you can get the lighter slabs of Creme Bordeaux, it will be lighter than what I saw locally for Santa Cecelia.

As Sue said above, Crema Bordeaux varies widely in color and pattern - even within the same slab.

We are ordering our Crema today. I would strongly suggest picking out your slabs because of the variation. Some are actually pinkish which I did not want. I wanted more of the burgandy like OSSWB's last pic. Some have more brown than others. I liked that also. It is a very interesting granite.

We just had Santa Cecelia installed for our island. It will be on the perimeter cabinets eventually as well, whenever we get those! Our has lots of black and gray as well as tons of garnet spots, which is exactly what we wanted.

Mine is more like osswb's but with less garnet (burgundy) on the edges. I have a lot of quartz pink and gray but they work VERY well with Pottery Barn red. I have a cinnamon colored KA food processor that works well. Another thing - I haven't put a single color against it that doesn't work. I have items from many homes and varying decor; it ALL works, even mixed together. If I can find my post I'll post the pic. I don't know how to do it well yet. Some very nice GBr's did it for me. Love this site!!

Here's the link to my kitchen. Granite may not be that easy to see but as I said, it is closer to the darker more colorful version of Creame Bordeaux. Go for it - you'll love it!
