Do you match up what you are wearing with what your husband has on? We go for coffee with a group every morning and I "do" try and match up what I have on with what my husband is wearing...I don't want us to look like the Bobsy Twins, but I also don't want to clash with what he has on :o)

Hahaha no. I'm not sure 2 people sitting next to each other wearing different colours would clash anyway.

Hi Harriet, You're paying 8.25%, deductible, on your HELOC. You're talking about investing at 5% ... taxable. Which will produce what rate, after-tax? Why do you need to worry about an emergency fund? Your HELOC is almost certainly for a larger amount that you owe currently, so if you pay most (or all) of the $20,000. down on the loan, you'll have that much more available should you need it in the HELOC, won't you? Keep paying at your current rate on the loan, so it'll be paid off sooner. I can't give any advice on Roth stuff, for I know nothing about it (being a furriner). We have retirement accounts here in Canada and most financial advisors say that every person earning employment income who's a taxpayer should use them, but some of us disagree - for reasons that relate largely to the varying tax situation that affects various kinds of income, when it's applied and the fact that every dollar of proceeds of one's retirement fund is fully taxable, on withdrawal. By the way - maybe you should arrange a HELOC here in Canada. I have one fully secured by securities and they recently quoted about 6.25%. I'm waiting for a market correction to draw on it again - the market's too high, right now. And precarious. An investment group that meets monthly that I've attended for half a dozen years or so were rather largely antsy about the market at last month's meeting. Reminds me of the story of Tessie Oelrichs of Rosecliff Mansion in Newport. She wanted to have a white ball...all the flowers, food, everything in white. She wanted her guests to wear white including powdering their hair. And she realized the water was not white, so she contacted the head of the Navy in Newport and asked him to float his fleet with their white sails in the water for her ball. He told her to go pound sand. So instead she hired workers to build and float fake sailboats out in the water for her ball. Amazing. I remember too that the chandeliers had bowls in them which would get filled with perfume so the heat from the lights would cause the fragrance to waft gently down to the guests. If you can imagine at that time, her annual budget for the perfume alone was $65,000! But Rosecliff is a beautiful building, nonetheless...with its sweetheart staircase...

There NEEDS to be. Even if it's only 1/32", so long as there's some way for the grout to get into the joint and anchor itself, you're good. It also benefits you in that as you push the grout into the joints, it'll fill up any voids under the edges and corners so you have a good solid foundation got the stone, and don't end up with cracked edges or corners from dropping things on the counter.

Usually from a buck and a half to 2 bucks a dozen, in season, in his area ... for what we call "Peaches and Cream", white and yellow mixed. My corn is just setting cobs, came out in tassel a few days ago. I expect to need to borrow my friend's dog for a couple of weeks when the season rolls around. Last year I got about a dozen for the churches one Sunday, and next week when I went out to pick ... ... there were no ripe cobs on the stalks, and a mess of corn ears lying on the ground between the rows. I made the mistake of counting them - about 12 dozen. And the most angrifying thing was ... there was only a couole of bites, maybe three or so, taken from each ear! Then on to pull the next one down from its stalk. I wonder how many of the little buggers it took to conduct such depradations? Probably not more than three - if that! Ggrrr-r-r-r!! You've heard that,"There's many a slip, 'twixt the cup and the lip"? When you have three teeth (all in the same jaw) ... you'll need to slip a knife down the cob before you put it to the lip, to avoid frustration. ole joyful

No we don't match up. He picks his clothes, I pick mine. i dress for comfort, fashionable velour sweat outfits. DH does what he likes. As long as it's clean, who cares?

Not purposely! I am usually dressed first. Not always, but I've noticed many times if I am wearing a brown shirt so is he! Or if I wear black so does he!
He's just a copycat! LOL
Another reason to wear hot pink, lime green or yellow I guess!!!!! He doesn't have anything in those colors!! hahahaha

Sometimes I change my shirt, or suggest a change to him, if we clash after we get dressed. :)

Oh heck no! The only thing we try to do is dress on the same 'level', meaning jeans, dockers, etc....

No, but if I'm wearing something and he puts on something that will just look really pukey next to me, I ask him if he'd mind wearing something else. (Or if it looks really bad on him, I pretend that he'd be doing me a favor if he'd change.)

I remember a time when I SHOULD have paid attention to how our outfits looked together. We went to Walmart photo studio to have our picture taken for our 40th anniversary. I was so concerned to how my hair looked, I didn't pay attention to our attire. When I went to see the proofs, there we were, him in a kelly green shirt and me in a red & white striped blouse. It looked like Christmas LOL. That was 15 years ago, and oh my how we have changed. Dottie

Since it takes me three times as long as DH to decide what to wear and get dressed, he waits patiently and the asks, are you done? When I am, he goes into his closet, chooses something that matches and is dressed ten minutes later.

So we do match. Not because of me, but in spite of me. :-)

It never occurred to me. There have been several occasions over the past years when we were getting ready to get in the car, looked at each other and laughed because we did match but didn't even notice until we got into the car.

The thought never occurred to me to match clothes either. Dh is color blind. He had a red polo shirt and green pants outfit when we first met. I try not to let him out the door if an outfit doesn't work.

We don't do outfits like the square dancing partners do, but we check to see what the other person is wearing. Today, he ended up wearing a plaid fuschia/blue/gray shirt and I wore a fuschia t-shirt trimmed in white. I'm gonna give that yellow shirt to Goodwill :o)

No. I am very casual and I only wear jeans and t-shirts or sweatshirts. Dressing up for me is putting a long sleeved button down shirt (left open) over a tee that doesn't have words or something on it and wearing nicer boots or sandals. A lot of my tees are swag so there's no telling what they'll say when I grab them off the hanger. ;-)

DH used to be a tucked in buttoned up shirt kind of guy. Now he's finally relaxed and will wear just a t shirt in warmer weather.

We are both trying to lose weight. I teased him just the other night that when we got "skinny" we could start wearing matching outfits. LOL

When we go out with others I don't stay by him much of the time anyway. I socialize and I'm apt to be next to someone else much of the time.

We have an auction company, so when we dress for an auction we wear colors that look good together. Also I'm one of them that likes family photos to be colorful but not clashy. As far as dressing to match? No
