I did the same thing with Seinfeld, got hooked on it when it went off the air and then into syndication. lol.

I was channel surfing late last Sunday and recorded an old episode of GA. Come to find out, it was the very first episode and I was HOOKED. So I watched last week's current episode where George died. I've watched a total of two episodes so far, but I'm recording all of them, both old and new.

Questions. Was George the short guy, kind of pudgy, but very sweet?

Who is Dr. McDreamy married to, or is he even married?

Dr. Grey (Ellen Pompeo (sp)...is she married to McDreamy?

Chanda Wilson. One of THE best actresses ever!

I hope someone can help me, I don't know anyone IRL who watches this show, or if they do they don't talk about it. Thanks!

I loved George and yes he was sort of short and very sweet.

McDreamy just married Meredith. It was a Post-It note wedding.

Love Miranda too!

McSteamy (Mark) and Lexie (Meredith's sister) just moved in together.

I think some episodes are online.

Hi, Charlie, Good question. So many times, terms aren't defined. If you get these mounted plants, you've still got options, if they don't suit your style. I love lots of the plants people seem to sell mostly - or only - mounted, the Haraella being one. It bloomed fine, hanging out with other mounties in one of the clear glass vases, about 8"x 8" each, with stones and a bit of water in the bottom. It's the one on the left: However, it was one of almost 20 mounties that needed misting/soaking daily. If I weren't such an underwaterer, it'd be multiple times: They're always dry 24 hours later, inside or outside, unless it's raining or super humid and cloudy out. When the mounties are in the house, most are taken from vases and sprayed over a big pot, one at a time, then put back. The mounties that don't fit in a big vase are taken to the shower, sprayed, left to drip for awhile, and then taken back to the orchid room. Outside, each is moved and watered separately. Every.Single.Day ... whether I'm tired, down with a bug, out late, have a sick pet, family member in the hospital, buddy in a jam. With the potted orchids, I can close the shades, turn off the lights, and leave them for at least 7 days, if need be. I started resenting the mounties. One of the old hands who used to post here said no orchid had to be mounted. Dunno if they were excluding the Ghost, but I've unmounted almost all the mounties now, including the Haraella, Aerangis fastuosa, Aerangis biloba, Dendrobium ceraula, Dinema polybulbon, Encyclia bracteata, Leptotes bicolor, Ornithocephalus bicornis, Phal. lowii, and Phal. parishii. Others, the grower unmounted and potted before I brought them home. Almost all the Sedireas I've seen were potted. As many mounties as possible have gone into sphag & plastic because they dry more slowly; 2nd preference is bark w/ sphag; last is straight bark. The plants in straight bark have to be watered every other day. It's a relief to be free of the every-day-or-else demands. It's been a month since the Haraella went from mounted to potted in sphag. It could be too soon to know if it'll be okay, but it didn't lose either of the 2 flowers, and buds on all 3 spikes are still developing. You'll figure out what works for you - the orchids will teach you. :) Whitecat8

There are no "rules" about at what age the female is going to have itÂ´s first heat, most females ( notice the use of the word "most", which means that the vast majority but not all ) females have their first heat at an age of aprox 8 months when most dogs become sexually mature, but there are plenty exceptions and thereÂ´s nothing abnormal about it, a small part of the population will present itÂ´s first heat at aprox 7 months while other part of the population will present itÂ´s first heat over 8 months of age ( 9, 10, 11 and even 12 months of age ) and that doesnÂ´t mean they are abnormal nor sick. One thing is for shure, no dog is sexually mature at 6 months of age so if you are going to spay do it tops at 6 months just because you donÂ´t know if your female belongs to the vast majority ( females that have their first heat at aprox 8 months of age ) or if your dog belongs to that minority that has their first heat before of after 8 months of age. To a certain point I agree with the mentality that 4 months is too young, in small dogs the size of the anatomical structures is quite small, permanent damage to nerves can happen during the procedure ( damage that can cause urinary incontinence ), in small size breeds I prefer to wait until they are 6 months just because I can identify the anatomical structures with accuracy; but in large & giant breeds such issue is not a problem, at 4 months of age the surgeon can identify the anatomical structures with ease. Besides that, at a younger age there isnÂ´t much fat surrounding the tissues ( which can lead to identification problems ), at an older age fat can also interfere with the proper identification of the structures.

Yes chisue,that is exactly what I am saying...however,keep in mind,I was in my 30's..not sure if that would make that much of a difference,but I had PMS and menopause on my side..hard to believe,but I went thru the both of them at the same time--for years..and the thinning vaginal walls was a real problem..the really good thing about that time was that the Old Lad(ex husband now) worked away for months at a time my gyno put me on that stuff..it worked..and I never had or have had any cancer scares or issues regarding the hormonal treatments I have had to have..good luck!

From the looks of it, you're seeing the impact of a spring seeding--the death rate is fairly high in summer, and the probability of a disease on a young lawn is much higher than a mature one. For now? I'd back off on the watering as much as you can, but don't majorly stress the lawn during a hot July. Definitely don't back off during a period where you won't be there to observe it. Once temperatures start to drop, evaluate what you have--that should be in mid-August or so. Reseed if you have holes, water for the new seed, and back off again slowly once that's sprouted. The new seed will have all of fall, early winter, and spring to grow strong roots before summer hits again. The dying stems are giving up in the heat as they have too little root mass to maintain them. That's the danger with a spring seeding, although if you're going to get away with it, rye is the grass type that will do best. You just didn't get lucky. For now, you'll just have to live with them, although the constant watering is probably making that a bit worse. I'd try to find a happy medium. Existing dying stems will fall off, hit the soil, and decay. You can help that along by feeding organically around August 1, or feeding synthetically around September 1. Don't use a synthetic too early as it really stresses the lawn. I don't see much evidence of a current disease on the lawn, although the dead stems can and will grow fungi that eat dead material. They're no danger to your living lawn. Off the cuff and overall? I'd actually say this looks pretty darned good for a spring seeding in a harsh summer! I think you'll get some recovery in fall when temperatures start to drop and the situation will improve markedly--barring a disease set off by excessive watering, of course.

Questions. Was George the short guy, kind of pudgy, but very sweet? Yes, he was one of the original residents with Meredith and crew, but didn't pass his boards, so last season he had to do his residency again. He was involved with both Izzie and Dr. Torres romantically.

Who is Dr. McDreamy married to, or is he even married? Derek was originally married to Addison who was a doc on the show a few seasons ago - she's now on Private Practice. Now Derek is married to Meredith - which only took 3 years to happen!

This is a great show. I've watched it from the beginning. I would recommend you go and rent all three season and watch from the beginning!!!

Natal, I'll definitely check out the starter kit. Caroleoh, the first season started on our local CBS station last Sunday night, and it comes on every Sunday, so I'll watch that for now unless they stop showing it.

Right now I don't know anyone's names. lol. Meredith is Grey, didn't know that!

Katherine Heigle is also great, can't remember her name on the show.

How funny, Oakley! I just started watching this year too! Lord Daniel was telling me how much he loved that show so I gave it a chance. I'm watching the new ones though.

Army Wives is a great series too!

My favorite is actress Sandra Oh, who plays Christina Yang. I can identify with her personality (not necessarily a good thing). Loved her in Sideways.

Gold, check your local CBS station and see if they air the beginning shows around 10:30 pm or so, on Sunday nights. It may come on around midnight. I got lucky by watching the first show of the series!

Another show with potential is "The Good Wife." ONLY if Mr. Big gets out of prison soon so I can drool over him. lol.

How funny, I never watch primetime shows unless it's a good comedy or a "feel good" show, or certain reality shows, and now I've got two primetime shows I'm looking forward to. Thank goodness for DVRs!

I was late to the party, too!
I only paid attention to it after I watched and loved the spinoff "Private Practice."
Then I had to check w/ co-workers, Blockbuster, library to see if they had the previous seasons of GA.
I was truly jonesin' to watch every single episode! It was sad, really sad--that was the closest I'd come to a true "must have it now" addiction! LOL!
(But I gotta warn you: there's a GA storyline that was way over the edge!)

Pammy, what was the storyline you're talking about? I could get hit by a truck tomorrow, so do tell! lol

The last show I became totally addicted to is The Tudors on Showtime which airs in late winter. Now I've bought about 15 books on the Tudor era, have watched almost every movie about them, and even have Henry and his wives trinkets around the house. lol. Plus I bought the series on DVD!

And I JUST got the first episodes of The Tudors from the library! We'll see if I get hooked...

I'll check and record it on my Comcast thing. I can set it to record the series. I never watch anything on real time. I fast forward through all the advertisements.

Oh Pammy, King Hotness the VIII is to die for. Literally! LOL!

The acting, costumes and sets are superb, and I am definitely on Team Katherine!

But what a sad sad time for so many people!

Gold, I do the same thing! I record, then FF through the commercials. If a show is on I want to watch now, I'll let it run for about 20 minutes then jump in so I can FF.

Definitely hooked on GA and love Kristina and Major Hunt, two of my very favorites. Our local library has all previous seasons on DVD, so check it out, if you want to catch up sooner. There are many important story lines that will help understand the relationships going on, so watch it in sequence from the beginning to get the most enjoyment out of the whole show.

I started watching during the third season. I had to go get seasons 1&2 on DVD and do a marathon with my daughter that summer. It's really worth it to get all the back story, though so much of it is implausible! I only get into a TV show about once every ten years, it seems. Grey's is definitely the show of the decade for me.

I also suggest seeing if you can get the DVD's. We missed a lot of the 1st season; hubby bought it for me on DVD.. wow, talk about being spoiled. It was awesome. I don't know if there is a way for me to burn it and upload online to share; I would gladly do it if I could.. I'm sure it's illegal. lol

If you watch Grey's; you have to watch Private Practice too because you might miss something, like last season when Addison's brother had the brain thing and Derrick had to fix it. The men on Private Practice are also hunks. It's a great show, last season we liked it better the GA.
