We are in the throws of sprucing up the house and replacing furniture. Thanks to the generosity of my employer we bought new family room furniture and a 65" tv. This led us to buy a new stereo console and new table and chairs....from Ashley. Picked them up yesterday, in boxes...they need assembly! Good Lord....help me. The table is broken and the console is missing a critical piece. We're heading back up there shortly. I never, ever get a deal!!!! LOL!! I should just face facts and pay retail.

Okay, change of plans - had my breakfast, did my dishes earlier and since I'm trying to figure out the best place for Andy's permanent litter box location I decided the utility room. Since it's a new build home, that room still has builder's debris (they still have a few things to finish) - so I'm cleaning the floor and trimming back the plastic wrap over the insulation so it's not a foot across the floor. Collecting copper wire (crafts - the electrician gave me two boxes of cut offs when he wired this place). Putting all of that room's garbage in the separate pile by the shop which is building debris which the builder will haul. I'm not filling my $2/tag garbage bags with this stuff.

So I'm not bored anymore. And I'll continue vacuuming all this place once I start that.

I scared DH away to his workshop. Now I know he's not bored anymore.

And Andy has found a lovely sunny spot to snooze in. Ah to be a cat. LOL

we shopped this am...now dh is working on my bathroom ceiling...he installed new lights and are now installing insulation..we'd removed the drop ceiling last summer when we redid the upstairs bath, so have been living with bare joists! (except for the shower) it will be both warmer and sound barrier...can't wait! tired of getting out of the shower into a cold room! was going to help by doing the cutting, but he's insisting on doing it outside! at 10 degrees, no thanks!

so i'm catching up with everyone before football!

I'd go for Greenbay because I am familiar with them (brother's a huge fan). We don't have TV here unless we can watch online. I miss football on TV - normally I sit and craft.

So far I've swept everywhere, got a call from our friends in Scotland - managed to sweep out the utility room while gabbing and collected the trash from there. Now I'm taking a water break. And finally moving the litter box to it's new home.

DH is back in from his workshop now and making pretzels with the dough he made earlier.

I'm taking my shower next. And then I think I'll get that bed set up in the craft room/spare bedroom.

Well, I am not shut in because of the weather. I am never bored though. I went to church this morning and came home and warmed up leftovers for lunch. I am writing some emails and then watch some television and maybe take a nap. Mostly will stay out of husband's sight as he is working with his record keeping! I have Izzi to keep me company. Pretty day out snow on the ground and the sun is out. Have a great day all.

I never do much on the weekends. :o) I am going with my husband to his aunts 75th birthday in a few hours. Of all the community halls in this city to pick from, they chose the one that's six houses away from me. Last night we drove past it and my husband says, "is this where aunties birthday is?" I told him it was and he says, "I guess we could just walk, eh?" Ya think???

I baked a cake an hour ago. I used a mix (Duncan Hines Chocolate). I used chocolate milk instead of white milk. Boy, it did such a great job, it over flowed my pans. Once the oven cools off, I'll have to scrape the burned on cake and then clean the oven. Lucky for me, I just have to push a button and tomorrow wipe it out.

Other than toss a load or two in the washer, that's it for me.

Son kept me at his house overnight a while ago, to save 20-mile trip home and back in the morning, bedded me down on their lovely chesterfield.

Spoke to me (he says a couple of minutes) later ...

... no reply.

Checked me out - I was asleep.

But as for me, last night ... I was busy clearing clutter ... reading stuff that I ran across ... till almost morning ...

... slept in ...

... missed both early and regular church.

So it's been a lazy day, and I have a couple of errands to run after finish here.

Thanks OJ. I'm enjoying my efforts from last week but I'm not one who can sit still for long until the internet arrived. Even so, I still need to get off my butt and move.

Funny how some clutter can be very interesting. Especially if you've forgotten all about it. Hopefully fond memories.

My DH can fall asleep quickly but I've never been blessed with that. Which is why I like to do something active everyday. It helps me sleep later.

I had a late lunch, having a cold glass of water and enjoying this moment. Happy with what I've done today but still need to get outside to bring a load of wood and take in the beauty of the countryside. I've waited years to be here. Do not want to take one single day for granted. Getting the wood is just an excuse to say hello to God's gifts.
