Hi there all I have been asking some questions about my HVAC system over the last couple of days and have started to get quotes in. I was wondering if anyone out there can offer any input on these quotes.

Here is a comparison of three of the systems I have gotten so far I will add the Carrier quote once I get it.

York System

-York Affinity 3 Ton 2 Stage 16 Seer A/C $3180

-80,000 BTU YM9M modulating gas valve PSC motor furnace $2200

-New Copper Line Set $300

-3 Ton Evap Coil Txv 16 SEER $674.70

-repair of existing ductwork $1500

YORK Total $7,800 I have not totally looked into the tax credit and other rebates

The York contractor was rated highly on Angies list, no complaints from the BBB, he owns a smaller company.

Lennox System

G60UHV36A-090 Variable speed 2 stage 80% efficiency furnace

XC14024 14 SEER 2 ton AC no seperate coil listed $3690

or XC15024 15 SEER 2 ton AC $4300

New media filter

2 stage programmable thermostat $200

Add additional 7" supply duct to master bedroom

new line set

Total for system - XC15 system $7654

XC14 system $7049

Lennx contractor came recommended from a couple of friends who have had new systems installed, and was rated highly on Angies list.

Trane system

Trane TUD100R9V3K 80+ 80 BTU furnace

Trane 4twx503030A1000A 2.5 Ton Heat Pump XLI 15i

4TXcc037bc3hca 3 Ton coil

REFLN3/4-30 Insulated Lineset

IAQ 4h 2C 3-Wire state fual fuel HUM/HRV termostat

New Plenum

New Supply air run to master bedroom

AC Pad

plus some other labor items

Total $11,921

The contractor is looking at what they can do with the existing duct work to reduce their cost closer to the $8k amount.

The Trane contractor is a larger company, my folks have a system that was installed by them and it works well.

If anyone has any input concerning these systems it would be greatly appreciated.
