insulating a crawl space

We live in a 1930's colonial. The front porch was enclosed and made into living space. One side is an office (we have baseboard heat in that small room-approx 8x4), the other side is a 'mud room'/entranceway (4x4) w/ no heat.

This space is not on top of our basement (poured concrete) but is a crawl space w/ just wood covering either end.

What can we do to insulate it?

We also have the same problem on the other end of the house where a powder room must have been added. It is TINY (4x3) and also has no insulation underneath.

These three rooms are very cold in the winter- even the office which does have heat coming up.

Any suggestions?

THANKS,

Brenda
