coil min. size for 3 ton Condensing Unit

I just had a Carrier central AC System installed, which is supposed to be a 3 ton system.

Another HVAC contractor, from whom I'm getting a quote on something else, took a look at the specs and told me what I actually have is a 2.5 ton rated Fan Coil working with a 3-ton Condensing Unit, and that the coil should be sized to match the tonnage (or coil can be larger - but not smaller). He says it's improper and there can be issues with the coil.

specs are:

Carrier Condensiong Unit: 24ACA336A003

Carrier Fan Coil: FV4BNF003

Do I need to get this remedied? Work is done according to our contract, but I was consistently under the agreed assumption that I was getting a 3 ton system.

Thoughts appreciated. What can happen?
