Hi I am looking to buy a new dehydrator. I am choosing between the Nesco gardenmaster fd-1018 kit (round with bottom fan) and the Nesco snackmaster fd-80 (square with top fan). Both of these models seem great. I was wondering if anyone has used these before and can answer a few questions please:
Will 1000 watts vs 600 watts make a lot of difference.
I have heard that the square one (fd-10) may not dry as evenly because the fan is on top. What's your experience?
If I use 8 trays ( the max) in the fd-80 woll I need to rotate?
How does the need for rotation for the fd-80 compare with the fd-1018.
I'd also appreciate any other experience you have.
