Bored ... already ... so soon after the holidays? You didn't get addicted to having too little time on your hands? Here's an idea - twiddle your thumbs. Learn to play a guitar/ukelele/banjo (or string bass). My nephew's wife, an accomplished photographer, has been engaged to visit an agency which sponsors giving a substantial (and colourful) cake to one-year-olds to celebrate their birthday, and she makes a video as the mess is created ... people loveit! Maybe a restaurant or bakery/tea shop in your area could start offering such a service ... with you as the photographer. ole joyfuelled ... who leisurely eats his cakes ... one piece at a time (and cleans up all of the crumbs)

Once a parent ... always a parent ... unless our kid(s) (all) kick(s) the bucket. And even after such a dreadful loss ... I think we'd still be a "parent". Both of mine still alive ... and vibrant. Had a half-hour chat this morning with daughter in AZ ... who called to wish her loved Dad "Happy birthday!" o j
