Radiant Heat through Entire House

Hi,

We're designing our home and I thought I would see if anyone is doing or has done radiant heat through their entire home? We have it in our current kitchen and bathroom and love it. I love the idea of our furniture going against the wall without sticking out two inches because of baseboard heat. I have ridiculously dry/sensitive skin and the year I lived with forced hot air was a nightmare so I won't even consider that route. Anyhow, is it ok to use radiant throughout a house or will that limit the surfaces you can use for flooring? We're planning on hardwood throughout (not manufactured) but carpet in the bedrooms and tile in the bathrooms. Are there considerations we need to make in regards to carpet and hardwood? Or is this just a really bad idea? :-) Any input and feedback with expeiences is greatly appreciated!
