talley_sue, I typed in "wallet purse" into Google and got pages. Most are the "wallet on a string thingy" though but they do have the larger wallet purses. ******* Someone earlier mentioned useing a mens style wallet to reduce bulk in a purse. I would suggest rather getting what is known as a 'European slide wallet'. I have one and they are very thin and lightweight. They look good becasue they are made of very thin leather rather than nylon which looks too sporty for my tastes. They can be slipped into the inside pocket of a suit or slid into the back pocket of jeans or into the tiny inside pocket of a purse. They come in colors. What is nice about slide wallets is that they have a *zippered coin compartment*, something that mens wallets do not have. This is an example of how they look but is not the one I have. My experience with NAOT is that they are very comfortable and you'd probably not need to change them... but I am not sure you'd float across the dance floor in them IYKWIM. If that's the brand you go with, I'd be inclined to stick with the dressier black styles. Their silver is a little rustic. I havent seen any this season but they have had some in the past with some bling. I don't really care for white shoes for formal events... so if not black, i'd go ivory (which is always lovely) or silver. Bronze could work nicely also. I forget who made them but I have a pair of bronze sandals with a little wedge that I think look great with black, navy, natural/flax and white. Ive never been a shoe must match the bag person. I'd get whatever style and color of cute little bag works with the outfit(s).

Can we post pics yet? Madewell is my go to for casual bags. I'll try to post a pic of mine. I also have a great woven straw (actually, I think it's woven paper) tote that I got off walmart dot com for about $20. It's lined and has a pocket. It's lasted for 2 summers and I'm looking forward using it again if it ever warms up here. Last summer the vinyl handles cracked, so I sewed on two new woven ones in about 5 minutes (I think they look even better than the originals). My bag and one I'm contemplating.
