The tempation for a meal overrides all else. You can try all the deterring tactics you want, but when an animal like a raccoon finds a meal that it MUST have, it will stop at nothing. Lights will do nothing to stop them, except maybe spook them at first, but rest assured, that they'll muster up the guts to enter the light in one night. Squirrels are they same. I had one that kept chasing the birds off our feeders and hanging there, eating all the sunflower seed. I'd grab the hose and spray it, and the squirrel would race to the top of the tree, trembling in fear. I'd go inside then, figuring he'd surely leave. Nope, he slowly ventures down the tree and hops right back on the feeder. The temptation of an easy meal was just too overpowering. Raccoons are far worse, and much smarter, so if you have them, I wish you the best of luck in your battles. Joe

LOL, yeah, they've all been pretty tacky :) I think you'd have to watch a whole season to understand the addiction . . . these people are in the house for 3 months - no contact whatsoever with anybody else, no TV, no newspapers, etc. After a short time, they completely forget there are cameras everywhere and it gets pretty ugly. You see them as their raw, unguarded selves. One of the first seasons showed a vengeful girl using another houseguest's toothbrush to scrub out a toilet . . . then putting it back into the toothbrush holder. There are no "normal" people here . . . they are all drama kings and queens who are completely narcissistic. It's just an opportunity to be a voyeur into the world of the 'I can't believe there are people who would do that stuff' kind of thing . . . hey, we have long, boring winters up here :) The 'strategy' revolves around keeping yourself aligned with a group so you have power in numbers when it comes to voting people out. This year they threw a monkeywrench into that area, because they are being voted out in teams of two - so whether or not one person in the team is liked or innocent (of whatever), they both go. The power in the house is constantly shifting; someone may be king of the world one week, and the bottom of the totem pole the next week. The first seasons didn't have people who knew each other . . . but in order to change/spice things up, the last few seasons started doing that. The BB motto is "expect the unexpected" so unlike Survivor, where things are always pretty much the same every year with different faces, BB shakes things up a lot. Also, by having it on 2 to 3 times a week, you REALLY get to know the houseguests . . . the good, the bad and the ugly :) They also have an uncensored version of the house on Showtime on late night. I can't stay up for much of it, but it's always stuff they could never show on primetime. This bunch has been wild as all getout at night . . . my 21 yr. old DD watches with me and I made her promise she'll NEVER EVER try out for this show . . . her poor old mother couldn't take watching her baby in a mess like that . . .

I had been getting a little bored with it this season...UNTIL last night!! WOW way to go Dan, but poor Danielle. It sure helped Dan's plan that Boogie commented to Frank about not trusting Ian. Brittany really hasn't done much so I would not be sad to see her go. I think it will be smart if Frank takes Dan to the finals. Dan won't get much sympathy being that he has already won once before, but last night's performance is worthy of something lol Susan, I too watch the After Dark and enjoy the uncensored viewing.

I don't think Amanda has a clue about what a horrible bully she is and I think that is how her real life is too since she was still being that way last night. I do feel sorry for poor McCray if he goes to live with her. She is probably done with him though. I didn't have a favorite either I was not able to get into it as well as past seasons. Andy floated and lied his way through, but Gina Marie and Spencer were not much better. I was hoping that they would go more into the reactions to the racist comments. I could not believe that jerk Jeremy only concern and comments were about Helens tears, I guess he didn't learn anything about his horrid behavior and treatment of the others. He is a disgrace to his Native Tribe. I am surprised that they have not spoken out.
