I use the Palmolive original. Seems to work best in our hard water.....Dawn is a bit hard on my hands, I think.

Dawn Plus for washing dishes in the sink.

I use Dawn because they donate to wildlife programs to wash birds that are in oil spills. I don't have a dishwasher, so that's all I use.

Dawn, orignal meaning NON-Ultra.

Compliments, or any CLEAR brand that does not have colouring added.

I love the Dawn foam. I keep a regular Dawn on hand too (I refill the foamer with that sometimes)

The only thing I wash in the sink is the cat's dishes and pots and pans, which I clean immediately after using.

I just bought some of that new Dawn Hand Renewal because I saw a good report article on it. It really DOES work well! I only do dishes by hand - and lots of them - so I can give it a hearty 'two thumbs up!'

Ajax liquid is the only one I've found that doesn't seem to give me an allergic reaction.

In the Dishwasher, it's Electrosol, always.

I'm the only dishwasher in this house and it's taken me a while to find something that doesn't irritate my hands.

I use Palmolive Oxy Plus now, and so far, it's kinder to my hands.

I always wear gloves if I wash dishes by hand. Right now I am using Dawn but usually use Palmolive.

I used to use Joy, but since they changed the formula I am buying dawn. It's available at Sams. ;)

Dawn for handwashing and pots and pans, and any generic store brand for the dishwasher. I support Dawn because of the years they've worked rescuing fowl and wildlife...it's the only soap they have found that works on removing oil slick/sludge from waterfowl ;o)

Dawn Hand Renewal for hand washing dishes and I am still looking for 'just the right one' for the dishwasher.

For my dishwasher, which I haven't had very long, I use either Cascade or the Method packets. For hand washing I use either Method or Palmolive. Dawn and the others seem too harsh for me.

I have always used Dawn, this month I got lucky and found cpns for .50 cents off and my Fred's sells Dawn for $1 and they double cpns on Sat..so I paid .10 cents for and I managed to get 11 bottles!!

My 'dishwasher' always uses Palmolive original. I will try to get him to buy to try the above mentioned Dawn Hand Renewal when he goes shopping today. I have noticed that his hands need help. This winter weather is hard on his poor delicate skin. Of course he wouldn't dream of wearing gloves for that outside work.

Whichever name brand is on sale. Right now I am finishing Dawn. Almost empty. I used to be a huge Ivory fan until they switched formulas several years ago. I use Cascade tabs in the dishwasher. I bought tons of it clearanced for 90% a couple of years ago-still have plenty left. I talked to my MIL in NJ recently and she asked "Lisa, do you still have cascade"? LOL.

Shaklee liquid for hand washing and Shaklee powder for the dish washer. Great stuff and a very little goes a very long way. Gentle on my hands and on my dishes. Also, it's OK in the septic tank.

Palmolive OXY in the blue bottle. It's my favorite and the only one I like. LOVE the bubbles it puts out.

I use my dishwasher for storage and use Blue Dawn for dishwashing in the sink I have a small 10oz bottle (I think it is) and refill it from huge half gallon jugs of Dawn that I get at Sam's so nice to just refill instead of running out .

Just a note - Dawn is excellent for getting spots out of clothes. I use it for dishes and Cascade for dishwasher.

I love Dawn. I figure if it takes the oil off pelicans it ought to get my pots and pans grease-free. Cascade gel for the dishwasher. I'll get the Dawn Hand Renewal when I run out. Thanks, Pix!

Palmolive or Ajax, both antibacterial

I use Dawn or Joy, whichever I get the better deal on. I can't tell any difference between their performance. And seeing the new formulas always have Joy with their version soon after, there is a similarity at least. In any case, either works just as well and far better than any other I've used. I do like the bleach alternative version. I also keep a bottle of Direct Foam on the sink for quick cleanups. Really like it. I can often find 25¢-30¢ coupons for one or the other and if I couple it with Walgreen's sale/coupon I can get it for 40¢-50¢/bottle. So I buy what I can at those prices. Used to buy it at Family Dollar. I'd get the non-concentrated Dawn/Joy for $1 for a 22oz bottle but they've shrunk to 16 oz and gone to $1.29. And they had some decent deals on the concentrated stuff but couldn't match the other deals I could get. So I don't mess with Family Dollar anymore.

One of these days when I get low on dish soap I'll try one with the power scrubbers in it. But that'll be a while!

Oh, and I used to buy Walmart Great Value dishwasher detergent to use in the laundry as a booster. Then switched to SunSations, as it was cheaper. But since switching to Tide Free detergent I don't need the additives anymore so I don't need the 4 or 5 boxes sitting on the shelf... I'll find someone to give it to. Maybe use it for toilet cleaner?

Right now I'm using Ajax! Sure wish I could find the kind I used years ago. It was pink and made by Texize!

Original Dawn for me. My sister had a toner cartridge explode on her pink bedroom carpet. It was everywhere. I don't know how many bottles she used but Dawn got every bit out. We couldn't believe it. I use nothing but original Dawn for stain remover on clothes and now, thanks to my sister a spot remover on my carpet. Great stuff, and I almost forget it's great for dishes....

I use Dawn liquid dish soap. It will take the oil out of your hands, so in winter, I use elastic gloves to wash dishes. About every 3 days, I put some baby powder in the gloves to aid putting them on and removal.
