Anybody have this problem?
Comments (4)Thank you for the reply Manda. I got proactive yesterday after hitting rock bottom. I was able to reach over the hog wire since its so thin and I pulled up every stick, log and branch. It felt good. Really Good. He "caught" me in the act and I confronted him, mentioning codes, branches from a 2 year old ice storm, not mowing, rats and other rodents and that this fence solution would not fly and he had to do something because I am going to call the city. We had already politely suggested people who worked cheap and ideas on four occasions so I feel he has had every chance. It will take me probably 3 city pickups to get rid of what I pulled out yesterday but it was a great way to work out my anger. I found out the fine for the stagnant pond is $1000. The cut branches were listed as a violation but I don't think they fine you for that. Stagnant water--serious business. They make 3 visits, a warning, a second to see if it in compliance and then a third to clean it up and bill the person. Each visit is charged $200 unless you do something. I feel better. One way or another the party is over. No more molly coddleing....See MoreSpray foam insulation after shower enclosure installed?
Comments (7)I offer him sympathy at the thought of making his job "more difficult" even though that's an attitude and not a reality. OTOH, he really should learn what is involved with spray foam insulation -- and you can tell him you won't charge him for the learning experience! Yes, there are after-the-fact spray-in foams, but there is no reason to try them in this situation. I think the plumber is pushing his luck because few if any properly constructed new houses install showers etc until AFTER the insulation is put on. There is no way to be sure the insulation is solid and without leakage after the walls (or shower walls) are installed....See MoreDoes anybody actually have Caesarstone -- Lagos Blue?
Comments (19)I realized this is a very old thread but hopefully someone will read this. The below picture is my kitchen. I purchased this home and the people who sold it to us have no idea what color or finish it is, although we do know it is caesarstone. Can someone tell me if this is polished Lagos Blue? At first, I thought it is honed because it has such a soft look but have read somewhere that the polished version has less sheen than granite. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Comments (2)I should add it has nothing to do with the gap, but the fact that the bottom of the o.c. foam may be a condensing surface in the winter. When the warm air of the conditioned space touches the foam, water could condense out. On the plus side, the foam should be little affected and much of the water vapour will pass through and, hopefully, be vented out through adequate roof vents....See Moregarymunson-2008
