Not having the time after work to shop or make anything really authentic, just throwing together whatever I happened to have in the freezer and pantry, and called it Mardi Gras dinner.

Only you could just "throw this together"! No only the cooking(I'm sure its delicious) but the presentation and table decor is fantastic.

Okay, I've repotted this one 4 times because it has grown so fast. It has out grown all cuttings and all 100 assorted seeds that I have planted. In the process of repotting I forgot to label it. I am 95% sure that this is from the seed that you gave me. It just surprised me when it started throwing out the inflow. We'll here's my update it is now 40 inches tall and beautiful.

Aeonium are summer dormant, so mine are just starting to grow again. I don;t think Leaf and Clay sells cuttings, I would send them photos and ask for a replacement. That said, your MG will likely root, since it's growing season is juts starting, but do not water until you see roots. Make sure the stem is in the dark, like under pumice or perlite, and leave dry for about 10 days, then check for roots every 8-10 days. Once you have good roots move to good soil and water.

That's what I thought, goofy combo I am struggling right now as when the design was done, we where planning on staying in this house. Now, we bought land and are building late this summer and have a huge shrub bed on the front I need to fill in before we can put on market. I really don't want to spend all the money on my "dream shrub bed" just to move. Trying to figure out how to fill in and make it look nice economically.

Thank you all very much. I hope you too had a wonderful fun Mardi Gras.

The dirty rice is really filthy rice, because I had lots of leftover in it. LOL! Had no sausage, so I used hot dogs. Hahaa!

But the black garlic made the rice very delicious.

The red/white/red/white thing is just daikon in two flavors, together with sectioned carrot, they were my symbolic representation of beads, which is part of Mardi Gras tradition.

Well, my smart mouse outsmarted me again and my post disappeared.

What a trove of creativity your threads are! I had not heard of black garlic before either. Love the way the mask feathers are repeated by your dirty rice garnish.

Black garlic is a fashionable amazing "super food" which supposedly has lots of health benefits, besides being delicious.

Black garlic is not cheap. So I learned to make my own.
