I guess the procedure they used was they implanted embryos. and they implanted 8 of them. Disgusting.

The gals were discussing this on the View, the other day and it was mentioned that the mother plans to breast feed the Awesome eight. Joy said she would probably have to get a splitter for each side, so she could feed 4 at a time. LOL.
Seriously, I wish the mother and the babies nothing but the best, but I do question the practice of implanting so many embryos at one time. So many of these multiple preemies end up with life-long health problems. Dottie

Medical negligence in my opinion to give fertility drugs to a woman who already has 6 children. What were they thinking????? That they would profit from the litter like Kate and Jon have????? Ask the Dionne Quintuplets in Canada, if any of them are still alive, how they felt emotionally about being on display all the time. Read their stories. It's really sad.

I saw a picture of the home she lives in with her parents and 6 children. It doesn't look like it's big enough to accomodate the current residents, let alone 8 more.

I've yet to hear talk about a husband, boyfriend or ex. I also heard it was her dad that was going back to Iraq for work. I pray the babies are all ok, but this whole story makes me angry.

Some TV production will no doubt mske another reality show and soon she will have a nice large house with all the trimmings.

Matti, my sister raised 12 children in a small 1100 square foot house with ONE bathroom. When they bought the house it had 3 small bedrooms on the mainfloor. The put 3 more bedrooms in the basement.

My house is only 1000 square feet. I raised 3 kids in it and we were comfy. My next door neighbours house is identical to mine. They raised 5 children in theirs. I can't imagine 5 kids in my house 24/7. And I would have gone insane in my sisters house with 12 kids and 2 adults..........and one bathroom! Most of her kids are girls! Can you imagine the fights?

On a TV news discussion, a fertility doctor said he suspected that the original procedure was done in another country. He said that in the US they would not implant that many embryos.

The mother did not go to Kaiser until after she was pregnant, and they seem unsure of where her fertility treatment was done.

Watch, soon there will be companies wanting this family to advertise their products, so there will be money coming in for them to get a larger home. There will be volunteers helping care for the babies, people donating whatever supplies they need ... they will be taken care of.

Fourteen kids? Hey, it sounds like waaay too many to me, but I worked with a lady who came from a family of 25, and she turned out very well somehow.

I read there is no husband, the Iraq husband is her Mother's husband. I also read she filed for bankrupcy a year and a half ago and had the procedure done in another country. And this on a blog:
"My sister is a nurse at Whitter Hospital (where she was going to have the babies but she had Kaiser Insurance so she was moved there) told me that THERE IS NO FATHER....PERIOD! And that she lied to her doctor about having 5 kids (not 6 as reported). She is already on WIC and state financial assistance."

Sounds like a strange movie where they sell babies. Very very strange situation.

Her spokes lady just announced there waiting on the best deal before they tell the story. She's 33 yrs. old and her mom said, she's always been obsessed with having children.
It's also been said, there has not been any businesses coming forward and donating anything for the babies. They have finally decided by doing so there saying it's alright for these kinds of mulitply births.

My bet is that within 5 years, all 14 kids will be in foster care or being raised by the grandparents.

Big name companies, like Gerber, are publicly saying that they are staying away from her...other than standard coupons or freebie amounts that are available for anyone with a multiple birth.

Good for them.

I saw part of the same interview that patches must have seen last night. It was said that the mother has a degree, is working on her Master's, and is a healthcare professional who has fully supported the first six children. It was also said that her mother said she has always wanted 7 kids and that the 7th was what she was trying for. It was said that the mother is still in the hospital and that her parents are taking care of the 6 older kids at the moment, making sure the ones in school make it on the bus in time, and so on and so forth.

I'm not saying right or wrong as this many kids seems pretty excessive to me too, but the picture that was painted during the interview wasn't of a deadbeat mom. I'll be curious to hear what she says and does when she finally speaks to the public.

It's her publicist's job to paint a pretty picture.

One of the news outlets reported yesterday that the grand parents had given the daughter the house a yr or so ago! Since then the grand parents had to file for bankruptcy and have moved in with the daughter. How much of this is true we just donÂt know.

I just question how is she going to move 14 kids in child seats around?? SheÂs going to need one of those small school busses to transport them!
