Stepco, Bruce, or Mohawk Engineered Floors?

Hi All,

Due to a recent accident in our family room, we find ourselves in need of new flooring. The subfloor is a slab, but was covered in the 1970 with black mastic and very thin linoleum tiles. Then, someone came along and put down padding and carpet in the early 1980s.

We've decided to go with an engineered floor, so it can float over the tiles/mastic. We've narrowed what we like to three manufacturers, mostly with hickory as a species. Can anyone comment/give advice on our choices?

1)Bruce Westcheter Plank Hickory

2)Bruce Turlington Lock and Fold Hickory

3)Stepco Domestics Loc Plank 5 Hickory

4)Stepco Handsculpted Loc Hickory

5)Mohawk Raschiato Series - Handscrapped

I really can't find any reviews for Stepco, and the Mohawk flooring has no species details available on their website or the flooring website.

Thanks,

Kim
