Mary, those are very easy and fun to make. Just use a box of cake mix. If you use the whole box it will make 24 of cupcake cones. I used about a bit more than 1/4 box for my last batch.

Prepare cake mix according to instructions. Pour batter into each flat bottomed cone to just a bit less than 2/3 full. The first time I put too much batter into the cones and they all "exploded" LOL. Bake at cupcake temperature, on a cookie sheet, for a bit longer than what the box says. If the box says 20 minutes, I would go at least a couple of minutes longer. Mine took 25 minutes before the long skewer came out clean. Once the cupcakes are cooled, you can frost them with store bought or homemade frosting. We love sugar sprinkles and we used lots for decoration. My neighbor's 7 year old thought it was ice cream until he bit into the cake. Really funny!

I've made these, too. So cute! My only complaint is that the cake seemed to dry out from the cone. Did anyone else notice this? Or are grownups not supposed to eat them? ;)
