Favorite music videos/songs???

I got an IPOD for Christmas and am still trying to load it with music, music videos, etc. My favorite music is from the 70's, but I went through a big country kick in the 80's and early 90's. Used to watch the country music videos ALL the time,and loved how some of them really told stories. I've remembered a few that I've downloaded so far, but would love to have my memory refreshed with more! So please share your favorite songs/music videos with me, and please name the artist if you can to make them easier to find!

I just know from this great group that there is going to be great variety listed here!

If you're talking Country, I LOVE just about the entire Hank Williams (the original) songbook. One of my best recent garage sale purchases was a CD of his "greatest hits"---about 20---for 50 cents.

On the other hand, my husband clears out the room (or house) when I put it on. Come to think of it, he doesn't much like my Opera (not Opery) CDs either.

I have a VERY wide-ranging taste in music!

Let's see:

Colin Raye -- Thats my story (for fun!)
Colin Raye -- That was a River
Brooks & Dunn -- Hard Working Man
Brooks & Dunn -- My heart is lost to you
Chely Wright -- Jezebel (great video!)

and lots more that are not country -- but great songs!

haven't really watched many music videos since the early 80's on mtv... don't remember many either!! even tho i wasn't a michael jackson fan, i seem to remember some of his videos most(thriller, billy jean, etc)maybe they played them alot??? also remember a couple of genesis videos...(misunderstanding in particular) my kids showed me one a couple of years ago which was very cool (don't know if it was FF) that had the band in protective clothes and googles and it was a whole series of ball/s (i think)going on a mousetrap like course and ended with colorful paint getting dumped on all of them... very clever... i don't have time to search for it, but does it ring a bell with anyone?? it's a worthwhile view!!

Yes...I'm surprised I loved this too, ESPECIALLY since there's no cannons, spandex, explosions, blood (Gene Simmons style), fire/pyro, OR "Big-Hair"!! I think I linked that Jamie Pugh video too a while ago here! THAT was a stunner for sure! Caminnc- That's hilarious!! Brings new meaning to "I gotta have more Cowbell!!" (Christopher Walken in that "famous" SNL skit! DAMN that's funny!!) My3d- Most of the time, I'm a little weird...just ask DW!! (this may SHOCK everyone here...but I DID love the early days/80's of MTV!!!) BUT...I DO enjoy beautiful music like in Les-Mis! I love a good stage-play, and rescued some stage-walls for our HS plays in the late 70's! I was VAN-HELSING!!!!! LOVE going to plays in Chanhassen, MN (a SW suburb of the Twin-Cities) at the Dinner-Theater there. Les-Mis and Sound of Music were wonderful! DW & DD just went to see "Hairspray" there 2 wks ago! Another version if you haven't seen this. The four main Male singers that sing this are together! You're jaw will drop when Alfie starts.... This is a good thread, very enjoyable. There are so many favorites, but two that are special to me are: 1. I'll Be Home for Christmas. My father would tell us every time that the song came on about how this was the song they played on the ship on his way to Germany during the Korean War. It became such a funny thing that when I was older, I would end up calling him when I would hear it and say "Dad, did I ever tell you about the time you were on a ship in the army and they played "I'll Be Home for Christmas?...well it's on the radio right now". What a great guy he was, miss him a lot. 2. "Oh Holy Night" a memory created only about 6 years ago--we were on a cruise for Christmas, and we were leaving St. Lucia on Christmas Eve, so standing at the aft of shift watching the island disappear, this was the song that was softly playing on the ship's PA system. Oh, the goosebumps I get. I still don't know if it was Celine Dion or Gloria Estefan singing it. So of course, I have both versions on my iTouch.

I loved The Judd's from the 80s. A favorite 80s CD of theirs is "Rockin With the Rhythm."

"Have Mercy"
"Grandpa"
"Cry Myself to Sleep."

Although it's not on the same CD, I really like "Young Love" by The Judds.

Dwight Yoakam...OMG, I used to love Dwight, still do. LOL
