Need some help with Marble Tile Job?

I'm about to do two bathrooms in polished marble tile. I would like to do them with minimal gap for grout. I read somewhere that you just butt them against each other and fill any crack that is left with grout. I'm concerned that the gap will be so tight that I will not be able to get the non sanded grout between them. Any thoughts? Would it be a crazy idea to butter the edges lightly with grout as I lay them? I know that is not the standard way to do tile. The grout will be an off white similar in color to the tile. The thinset I plan to use is white. Have also read you should seal the marble before grouting. Is this needed when using white thinset, and a grout that is very close to the tile in color?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide,
