My Olympiad rose....and it broke off the top half of the bush in the last wind storm. I have it rooting in hormone powder.

Nicole, I have David, Katherine, Bright Eyes, Blue Boy, and Nicky--plus a couple of others I can't remember and lots that have reverted to the "wild" color. I actually transplanted some of the last into my garden many years ago, to continue what a woman began long before I moved h ere. I think Katherine is pictured in the back of my photo. I thought it was the one in the middle, but I think that one's too light to be Katherine. Blue Boy hasn't done well; I was thinking Blue Paradise might be nice. And maybe some more Nicky, which is such a rich, pleasing color.

I'm so glad you posted the picture of the grasshopper. I was ssitting on my front porch earlier and one jumped right past me and landed on the window sill. Just sat there about 2 inches long.
