An elegant dinner?

Instead of going out to eat I would like to make something that would rival a fine dining experience for an anniversary dinner.

Would you go all out with say four courses and an amuse bouche? If so, can you help out with some.

So far for the menu I have a tomato tart on puff pastry and ossu bucco and as far as the sides I'm not sure if I should try my hand at polenta (have never made and would this be a bad time to try?) or garlic mashed potatoes with asparagus or green beans and some kind of fancy pastry dessert which will probably take more time than my whole dinner I'm sure. Anyways, any suggestions if I were to throw in a salad and amuse bouche? thanks
