urgent - subbing dried cranberries for fresh/frozen

Hi, I want to make a recipe for cranberry oat bars calling for fresh or frozen cranberries. I hadn't expected to find fresh this time of year but so far frozen are unobtainable too. I do have dried cranberries. My DH is going to check Trader Joes.

In the recipe, the cranberries are combined with sugar and orange zest and brought to a boil to dissolve the sugar and then cooked to reduce. It uses 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries to 3/4 cup sugar.

To sub dried cranberries, I would need to adjust the amount, add liquid and reduce the sugar (unless DH finds unsweetened dried cranberries at TJs - I think I've seen them there).

Any idea on the amount of cranberry and liquid?

Does anyone else think that as long as I'm adding liquid I should use OJ rather than water since there is already orange zest?

Or just choose another recipe?
