I don't care for canned corn, so I was wondering if this could be made with frozen corn? How much liquid is in a can of corn? The recipe doesn't say to drain it, so I'd have to replace it if I used frozen.

Old Time Corn Fritters

Ingredients:

1 3/4 c. sifted flour

1 can Del Monte Whole Kernel Corn ( Featured Product)

3 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 egg, slightly beaten

1 c. milk

1 tbsp. melted butter

1 bottle Oil for Deep Fryer

Directions:

Sift flour, add baking powder and salt. Sift again. Combine beaten egg, milk and melted butter . Pour into flour mixture and stir until smooth. Add 1 can whole kernel corn. Drop dough by tablespoons into deep, hot oil and fry for 3 to 5 minutes, or until browned evenly, turning fritters when they come to the surface. Serve hot with maple syrup.
