walking on air shoes!

I got the most amazing pair of shoes. They are Sketchers Go Walk, they weigh 3.6oz, feel like a pillow, are quite possibly the most comfortable thing I have ever put on my poor messed up feet. I can not begin to describe how comfy they are.
I got mine at Academy sports for $39. I got the black and pink ones but they literally come in all colors and even some come in leather.
The reviews online are great.
Here's the link to Sketchers and the go walk.

Picking out walking shoes...

I have a high instep, which makes most shoes feel too tight around and make my arches hurt after a few minutes. My feet get sore and tired quickly. Also, they get fire hot! Since my back surgery I find I am even less tolerant of tightness, rubbing, or warm temps regarding my feet. Then I found these: I call them my "air conditioned" shoes because of the cut-outs all around and the sandal back. The back strap is soft, stretchy enough that it doesn't feel binding but firm enough to keep your foot from sliding around. The interior is moulded and gives good arch support without squeezing at the instep. The soles are formed nicely too, to get a nice walking roll. These were from Walmart, Bum Equipment, design called Bogdan. These are Tan, they also come in White (with light blue accents) and I think darker blue but I am not sure. I have two pairs, I keep the Tan for outside walking and the white/blue for inside workouts (like when I go to Curves or do my stretching tape).

Having just received a small amount of snow - about a couple of inches - I planned to wear rubber boots, so put shoes into a plastic bag to bring with me, then did some other things, including hauling feed and water (need two water pans, bringing one into the house to thaw, daily) to the shed to nourish the cat. After getting out the car, closing the door and taking the cat's dishes back to the house, I picked up a couple of bags of things that I need ... but the bag with the shoes had disappeared ... so I'm travelling in the library unshod ... which is O.K as long as one doesn't put one's foot down on some snow that recently was tracked in by others. Sorry about dealing with a different subject - don't use the ice-trackers. o j

I just found amazing sneakers at Costco! I bought a pair in black and ordered them also in gray(although they look more silver) because I liked them so much. I then ordered two more to save as it is so difficult for me to get comfortable shoes. They are the Puma Vikky Mesh. I ordered 1/2 size up. I was able to try them on in the store so my usual shoe size was too small. 1/2 up was great. I think they look cute with leggings, ankle jeans, and shorts. ETA: I have a small, wide foot with a high arch, so finding comfortable sneakers and shoes is a feat (pun intended) for me.

I like Saucony as well, as they tend to have a roomier toebox than many other brands. Nike and many of the other popular brands are too narrow for the ball of my foot and cause me pain with long wearing. I used to have some Jambu slip on sneakers that were quite minimalist and flexible. I absolutely wore them out completely. They do make a lot of low profile styles with flexible soles that are thinner than most big name brands. I like the elastic lacing that needs no tying. FWIW, don't think you have to restrict yourself to 'walking' shoes, running shoes can work as well, or even better, since they are often made to stand up to more wear.

I keep thinking these would be awesome shoes to wear in the house - and out too! They are also the Go Walk by Skechers

yes the toasties look warm and comfy both.
The Go walk series has other styles including lace ups. Both of my sisters have some, one sister has the Go Run shoes which are also light and comfy too. Sketchers has really hit a home run with these Go series shoes.
I already have another pair I want lol.

Well those just "look" comfy. Glad you like them. Do they have a good arch support?

The older I get the more my feet hurt in my cheaper shoes. I always bought the cheapo shoes, sandals, whatever, and it was fine. But not anymore. I love my Clarks sandals. I have a pair of New Balance sneakers that are awesome. They both cost more than the ones you are showing.

Guess I'm making a trip to the store soon to check them out. Thanks!

I love the look of those shoes. I was also wondering if they have good arch support, and whether they would be suitable for narrow feet?

I'll have to check them out also! I love my Sketchers. It's getting hard to find good shoes for my wide feet, as many companies are no longer making wide sizes.

They are on sale online at Academy too I just checked, not all colors are on sale however for some reason.

These for me run true to size, my sisters said the same thing.

As to arch support they are fairly flat but have a really comfy innersole and the sole itself is shaped a bit.
I can easily put my orthotics in side for more support. I have beyond flat feet and these feel very good.

I wore them the entire day yesterday it was almost like being barefoot.
I am definitely going to get more.

They do make this same Go line for men also.

they do have them in wide width at Famous Footwear I want to get some. I tried on a pair last summer and they were very comfy in the store.

I bet then they would have them at the Sketchers stores in other widths too. Yes they do! You can choose from a drop down menu and wide is listed, but not for all colors which is strange.
