So what iced drinks are good at Starbucks?

I am not a coffee or tea drinker..in fact i hate them but i LOVE Moolattes from the dairy queen. I cannot have anything cold due to neuropathy from chemo so of course tonight i found copycat recipes for moolattes and blizzards and i was drooling..so anyway it got me to thinking i always see people walking around with starbucks iced drinks, and they look so good but i have never tried them. I went on the website tonight and the Frappucino blended drinks look very good, especially the strawberry one, but it doesn't look like it has any coffee in it..so when i can dirnk cold stuff again..what do you recommend, or do Moolattes beat anything they have?

How about Cold stone creamery.. i haven't tried any of their smoothies either but they sure look darn good!

I like the iced mocha latte from Starbuck's.
I have never had a Moolatte.
Cold Stone Creamery ice cream is marvelous, so I'd imagine their smoothies are too. I don't drink smoothies.

Ohhh....the taste of a caramel frappucino on a hot summer day!!! They also make a killer choc-peppermint version in the winter, either cold or hot.

This discussion originated out by a pool in Scottsdale. A friends grandkid at University of Alaska, Fairbanks had mentioned that they put ice cube trays outside and got ice so cold it would freeze a coke. He guessed that tempertures might have been about -40Â°F. He was resonably sure it was not one of those -70Â° nights. I recalled reading that Bud Ice was made by freezing beer and the freezing process took some of the water out of the alcohol solution. I knew from my years in Alaska that natural freezing would squeeze the salt from see water making rather pure icebergs. And after more drinks, it occurred to us that come next January we could get some -40Â°F ice as a gag and play party pranks with it. We would really like to take some -40Â°F ice to Burning Man but we cannot figure out how to get it in August. The original, the more searous question was, the colder the better up to some point but just how cold was too cold?

When we were a farm family, my husband and I could go through a gallon of tea a day. My mom in law taught me the 'correct' method for making good iced tea when I was a newlywed. ;0) Boil water in a small pan. Remove from heat, pour in about a quarter cup of loose tea leaves (these days I use a couple of family sized tea bags) Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes. Longer seems to make the tea bitter. Pour the tea water through a strainer into a gallon jar 3/4 full of water. Rinse the tea leaves and pour that water into the jar as well. Add water to make a full gallon. Add sugar to taste. Serve over ice. I also love sun tea. Two family sized tea bags, a gallon jar of water, and three hours in the sun. Sweeten to taste and refridgerate.

Alright folks, I have a DH who is totally obsessed about his ice cubes. He refuses to use anything other than a square cube out of an ice tray. DH drinks bourbon and coke quite regularly. His explanation is that the square cube is larger and will not melt as fast. Obviously melting will cause the drink to get watered down which is undesirable. We use the ice from the icemaker to fill our cooler when we need to. For us it's cubes from the tray for all of our drinking refreshment. Unless we are making a frozen concoction. Then we usually use bagged ice. We slam the bag around and beat it up some with a mallet before putting it in the blender. We can't use the icemaker ice for this because it's usually "old tasting" since it sits there so long. I guess you'd say that we, well DH especially, are totally ice cube obsessed. Would you say TICO?

It could also be the soil you used to repot it! Last year I bought some Miracle Grow Moisture guard potting soil (which I had used successfully many times before) but this time EVERYTHING I repotted with it died within a week or two. EVERYTHING!!! I've been gardening, indoors and out, for over 40 years and can't remember the last time I lost a plant when repotting! When I went to Scott's/Miracle Gro website to complain I saw SO MANY experienced gardeners with the exact same complaints I had and some insolent, smart aleck customer no-service dweeb would always "reply" saying there was nothing wrong with their product so it had to be "user error". Many of the folks complaining had as much - or more - experience as I had! It was absolutely insulting! I used to believe in their products but won't chance it again. Who knows when there might be another contaminated batch?!? Only good thing is that the patch of invasive English ivy I dumped all the bad soil out onto DIED! (And we all know how hard that stuff is to kill!). Scott's/Miracle Gro lost a good LOOOONG TIME customer because they couldn't admit they might have sent out a bad batch! I know I'm not the only experienced gardener who won't be using them again!

Since you don't like coffee, I guess the Java Chip is good (I think that's what it's called), no coffee ---ya, even though it's called Java.

Now if you liked coffee....Vente Iced Coffee with 4 pumps of white cocoa..YUM YUM (Grande 3 pumps, Tall 2 Pumps)...to die for.

Also ask the barrista, they can give great suggestions, they experiment all the time.

The only good iced drink Starbucks ever made was something they made for ONE summer a year and a half ago! It was like drinking a peach slurpy. No coffee in it at all. I think it was tea and juice. I can't stand frozen coffee drinks so I can't help you with that. I get instant heartburn from the sugary coffee iced goo they (and Tim Hortons) puts in a cup.

I really like their green tea lemonade and the strawberry lemonade. Both made even better if you get them blended! Yum!

I'm not much of a coffee drinker either.

If you get to a Panera's in the summertime, get their caramel mocha iced something or other....can't recall the exact name, but it's great.

All the Starbucks frappucinos are to die for in the summer.
Since I am a coffee drinker, I order iced vanilla soy lattes when it is hot outside. If I am in the mood for tea, an iced vanilla chi latte is good.

The only iced coffee I've had at Starbucks was a frappucino last summer in Mexico. It was wonderful!

I dont much care for iced drinks but the Caramel Frappucino at Starbucks is really good, but it does have coffee in it.

Nordstrom makes a banana mocha iced drink (blended) that is soooooooo yummy. I want one right now!!

For me, and I don't know why, the Starbucks Iced coffees and fraps give me the WORST brain freeze headache I've ever had. Two sips and BAM!! I grew up on Slurpee's and Icees and don't have any problem with them, but the one's from 'bucks I just can't do.

I do LOVE their green tea lemonade when it's hot. I don't think I'll try it blended though.

I buy (once in a while) the four bottle pack of Starbucks coffee at my walmart, Drink either hot or cold. I like to make a quart at a time of Gen Foods International French Vanilla Cafe I use the decaffinated kind. I have one cup hot and then cool down and keep the rest in the fridge. Then I can take a swig anytime I want or heat it up again.

So what iced drinks are good at Starbucks?
