Help to decide on where to put tile

Our home was flooded on September 8. We had a combination of slate, engineered wood, carpet and hardwood in the home. I am going to put porcelain tile and engineered wood back in the house.

Right now, I am leaning toward travertine like porcelain tile. But, I am not sure where to put it and where to put the wood.

We have a side entry to the house. I'm leaning toward tiling the entry, dining, hallway, laundry, and two bathrooms. Then, going from the Dining to the kitchen, and greatroom with the same tile. I may just 13X13 tiles in the hallways and bathrooms.

For the engineered wood, I would like it in the "study", formal living and bedrooms.

Does this seem reasonable? I really liked the carpet in the great room previously, but want to stay far away from carpet due to possible future flooding.
