Hi - FIrst of all, you almost can't give it too much light for many hours every day (as long as it doesn't act fried of course... where do you live?). Second, you need to chose a small number of branches (right down to one or another uneven number) and concentrate on developing those, cutting off others to do so energy-wise. Once the keeper(s) are established - takes years, not months - they should begin to put out their own new branches and over time you'll work on those too in the same way, but the trunk relative to the new smaller branches will then look larger and older. It's hard to cut most of what's there now, so you have to decide if you want a bonsai (eventually) or lots of foliage on a 'houseplant'. Nothing wrong with either, but the choice has to be made. And of course adequate light will help keep branches from reaching for more.

As a librarian, I can tell you that unless it is a special collection library these books will be sold at a book sale and frankly most of them would not sell then. Some of the more recent books, say the Peter Beales titles, might be held onto by a large public or university library that serves a population with a strong interest in the subject. It is a sad reality that many libraries today only stock materials of current interest. In my library that means any book that has not been checked out in the past three years is removed from the collection. As others have pointed out, individual, or even small groupings of titles, would bring in much more money. Kim, you are a kind person to help with this. Best of luck.

I'm sorry for your loss. Our Thanksgiving was good. Just Jody and me, but he called a neighbor and he was getting ready to fry some Spam, so sent him a plate. We were invited to Jody's son's house but it is a 4 hour drive one way and I would have to be back to feed horses. So too long in the truck. Jody's health is such, he shouldn't do that much driving alone, so Jody opted to not go and instead spend a couple of days with him in a week or so. I will stay here, which is fine.
