glass tiles that look like marble?
Comments (0)Hi everyone, I just posted this in the kitchen forum, but since I also want to use it in a bathroom, thought I would post here as well. Has anyone used this product? It looks like thassos but doesn't stain, b/c it is glass. Supposedly, you can clean it very easily. It goes by various names: glassos, thassos glass, milk glass, etc. I would love to hear your feedback. Who did you buy it from? How much did you pay? What room did you put it in? Was your contractor familiar with it? Has it held up (or did it scratch?) I'm considering using this on the kitchen and guest bath floors. Here is information I found on a manufacturer's site, but I wanted to get feedback from people who have actually used it. The text below is from this site: http://www.mineraltiles.com/products/Supreme-Milk-Glass-Tile.html "Supreme Milk Glass Tile recreates the beauty of the whitest natural stone available in the world: Thasos marble. A pure white crystallized glass is fused on a porcelain body allowing for easy installations and cuts as well as strength and consistency in color. Supreme Milk Glass does not require any type of treatment like the natural stone does, such as sealing and polishing. This product is sold by the box. A box of the 24"x24" covers 11.62 square feet and 32"x32" covers 13.77 square feet. Price per square foot of the 24"x24 is U$ 5.50 and 32"x32" is U$ 6.00 plus freight."...See MoreWould Like Feedback on Marble Basketweave Tile Floor
Comments (2)I have the same type of flooring in my teenage daughter's bathroom, which should give you a clue as to what type of treatment the floor receives. Dirty shoes, wet towels that sit for days it seems, make up, maybe hair products, who knows. Floor has been down for years and looks just like it did when it was put it. Grout is a darker grey, sealed floor and grout when first put down, but not since. So would say has held up very well....See MorePorcelain tile that looks like marble
Comments (2)I just tiled my bathroom in Porcelanosa Marmol Blanco Carrera. It is a white background with gray lines, ink jet technology so all tiles are different even though you do see the same design sometimes but moved over a bit on the tile, just like real slabs do when they are slices out of the same block. It is also rectified so the edges are squared off. They are 35 1/2" wide by 12 1/2" tall. They also have a floor tile to go with it that is square about 16 or 18". They are beautiful....See Morekitchen flooring - glass tiles that look like marble?
Comments (4)Hi Sadie, Thanks - that is really interesting! I have been to Nemo and some of the other showrooms down in the 20s, but actually haven't seen this product in person yet. I just read about it online, and googled it. I found that website. I'm going to order a sample, too! Did Nemo give you a sample to take home? I would like to ask them for one so I can compare the two products. I wonder if this one I found online is not as durable as the Nemo version due to it being "fused" on porcelain, instead of solid glass? After I get the sample, I'll show it to my contractor and see what he thinks. Anyone else actually use this kind of thing in a project?...See Moren1server
