Asthma Relief

I am having a hard time breathing and have been told that I have asthma. I would like to try something natural to help me with my asthma. The only thing that i have read the even seems like it might work is respitrol has anyone ever heard of it or tried it?

I to have asthma and have searched for natural alternatives. I have heard of respitrol and wonder if there is anyone who has actually tried it.

I have tried respitrol. It didn't work right at first and I almost stopped taking it. I continued mainly cause I paid for it and I refuse to waste. So I continued and it took about 10 weeks but I have started to see results from it. I am able to lift weights and not lose my breath but I guess we will see if it gets better.

Mr. ayyubaddeen, I have an excel spreadsheet for all my plants, so your post made the sheet! Please send me an email if you have similar info for olives, grapes, citrus, or pomegranates. Gardenweb has no special place for those fruits, except Citrus. They are left out, ignored, and kicked to the curb, but they are mentioned in the Bible, and I am sure, the Quran. I grow them all, and it hurts my feelings that Garden Web ignores these wonderful fruits!! I would not be so convinced that response to pred=asthma and not cancer. Prednisone can have appetite stimulating effects and make a pet feel better no matter what the disease is. Pred is a common part of chemotherapy because of that fact. Most lung cancers cause some degree of inflammation, and pred will help resolve that. It also resolves the inflammation associated with asthma. Obviously we all hope that your kitty has asthma and not cancer, but response to pred certainly does not provide a diagnosis. I guess the thing to consider is what would you do if she did have cancer? If you would treat her- surgery, chemo, radiation which could add up to thousands of dollars and lots of stuff for kitty to put up with- then by all means proceed with diagnostics. If you would be more inclined to just make her feel better for as long as she has, well, you are already doing that. May not be worth the diagnostics if there would be no change in treatment, unless you just *have* to know. Cats tolerate low-dose chronic prednisolone better than dogs as far as diabetes and iatrogenic Cushings, so that is working in her favor. The most obvious sign of diabetes in cats is usually increased urine volume. Some cats develop cataracts, but usually clients notice the urination changes first. I hope she is OK, glad she feels better.

IMA I stopped looking at the online grade thingie about 3 months after it was started in our district because I was the only one who cared...!!! not mom not dad not the kids ... so I not cared too ... I also gave up on asking if homework was started/done/had any ... not my concern my kids graduated ... you just have to stop giving a $hit about anything she does ...or doesn't do for that matter .... when her and dad are discussing trick or treating you get passive aggressive and somehow say ....hey SD can you print your online grades to show daddy I just haven't had the time... I have much less stress than I used to.. I cannot care anymore ... I know its hard to watch them fail but you have to let them and let their parents deal with it NYKNYP. It is simple to say and not easy to do ... I haven't asked any of them about homework in atleast 2 years ... does it drive me nutz sure ... but not much I can do about it other than drive myself nutz .... so I chose not to ask not to care... I know all children need guidance and structure and direction ... but I got nothing but grief from them and I was the only one who cared ..... stop caring focus on what you can change ... IMA your SD does it to get attention but not your attention mom's and dad's let them worry about it .... even if the only thing you can change is the sheets on your bed do it ... I know it sounds like I am a callous b&*$h but it is the only way I have kept my sanity... I will repeat the only thing I do for my SC is make dinner ... I do not even call them to the table to eat it. You see everything I did was answered with some snide remark or a grunt and groan ... even picking them up at school I would have to wait 20 minutes for them to saunter out of school. Dropping off I would be waiting in the car for them to saunter out for a ride to school... so I stopped rides to and from school nothing I did was good enough for their standards ... very high maintainance children :) My rules now: Eat your dinner ...if you don't like it I don't want to hear about it just get up go... I get out of work at midnight all kids should be in their rooms. If I am home by 10pm I do not want children in the living room go in your room stay up all night I do not care but do not bother me ... I know the dirty looks are aggrevating ... I do not make eye contact with SD it is very tense here when she is here but on the other hand its peaceful for me ... when she starts her BS I just go and find something else to do let her father deal with her ... Since I had the police come here in Aug SD has not pushed my buttons she tries to be civil ... when I am not here she has meltdowns because her dad and by an extension mom do not deal with it immediately. She knows I will not put up with her BS and have her removed from my home. Your SD is more sneaky than my SD ... my SD has meltdowns and explodes ...yours stays silent and plays victim .. mine becomes the tormentor... different actions same result. Afterall we wouldn't want them to actually like us and betray their never do anything wrong mothers ... My hubby cares a lot more than he used to but only because I have instilled in him that he wasn't doing them any favors by not parenting them... I nearly died yesterday when I heard him say to BM... I hope the children can't hear what you are saying about them.... he said she was saying f this I don't have to deal with this $hit anymore all they do is eat and make a mess little B&*(h was doing something that set mom off ... then SS13 (who is overweight) went to get a snack so she starting calling him a fat F*(K Hubby thinks she is looking to give up custody of SD because she doesn't want to deal with anymore. and wants less visitation with the boys ... I told hubby if that happens you are going to have it in writing through the courts with child support again.... its 50/50 now any diffent and she needs to pay support! That will keep her from doing it ... why should she pay for them.

dedtired, I was notified of the Silver Sneakers live class too, by my community center. They also pointed out that one doesn't need to be a Silver Sneakers member to participate in the Facebook Live classes. If you are a SS member or are eligible, you can register on their website too for multiple on-demand workouts. I thought DawninCal might want to check it out. I did it, and just made my moves bigger, more vigorous, and added more arm moves to get my heart rate up more. Generally I prefer to walk or run outdoors, but I do have an elliptical and hand weights. I realized that I have slacked off too much on my weight training, so I have gotten out my "The Firm" DVDs (hand weights and step box) and started doing one twice a week. With some hereditary tendencies toward back issues, and an old neck injury from work, I really need to keep my core very strong.

I have COPD. This is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It started with "Asthma" which runs in the family. My mother died in 1953 from heart condition due to Asthma but then there were very few things that could be done to help.

Lack of oxygen causes strain on the heart and you really don't want that.

Rather then playing around with something...go to the doctor and have a lung capacity test done and get on a prescription med to open air ways and one of the asthma meds to combat allergies. Lung damage from not taking proper precaution causes scars in the lungs which kill lung air sacks and can cause lower absorbtion of oxygen....that is where I am now ....and on oxygen 24/7 and I am 64 years old. I do not want to take medications and cause other problems. I would like to how ever have more information on respitrol. Is there any side effects and is it all natural. There is so many side effects to taking medications that it makes it not worth it.

I have ordered respitrol, it should arrive in a few days. I am hoping for the best. I have heard alot of good things about it. I will update in a couple weeks and let you know how it is going.

I have had severe asthma most of my life. Do you think that this respitrol will help with a severe case? Or is it just for minor cases of asthma. I will have to look into that further.

I have severe asthma and I ordered respitrol. It took a little longer to work because my asthma was so bad, but it has worked for me. I am able to take stairs and walk more than I was able to without getting winded. I thought for sure it wouldn't work for me and I would using that 90 guarantee but it worked and I suggest just trying it and if happens to not work for you, then return it.

I have been taking the respitrol now for about two weeks and it seems to be working. I am breathing a little better and feel a little more energized. I am able to do a little more activities and move around more than I was able to before. I am looking forwarded to be able to breath alot better.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I know this is not what you asked, but I thought I'd share something I read a while ago. I don't really know if it has any medical fact or not, but thought you may be interested in doing some of your own research on it. It appears some think that asthma attacks can be caused buy dehydration and that keeping hydrated can help offset some attacks. Again, I'm no expert and I know too much of anything it never good, but you may just want to keep an eye on dehydration especially if you have exercise induced problems. Here's an article on the subject. I think there are some books written on the subject too. But, be sure to check with your doctor before you try or change anything drastically. I'd hate to give you bad medical advice when I don't really know what I'm talking about.

My doctor told me that if a "natural" remedy stops the symptoms, then it is just as dangerous as a prescription drug. Another doc told me not to take vitamins unless he tells me to, because the vitamin may help your problem, but somewhere else it is doing a number on another part of you body.

hey hi,
My sister suffers asthma since 3 years, she tried respitrol for 5 weeks, however it dint show much effect on her.She later switched on to Advair that gave her relief.

It might do in an emergency but ... as many as 4,000 deaths a year may be attributable to Advair, ...
maybe look at something less aggressive like omega 3 fatty acids. It works just fine on my son.

does acupuncture and she has helped patient.

My sister suffers from Asthma...as well she has tried Vasaka from himalaya...this herbal supplement has really helped her with asthma relief.
