Should I upgrade my heat pump & air handler?

I'm buying new construction and the standard equipment is free. The upgrade costs $2450.

According to www.hvacopcost.com after 10 years I'll save $2597 based on: 3.5 ton cooling, 42,000 BTU, Charlotte NC, 8.7 cents electric and 96 cents therms, Average Utility Increase of 6% per year.

The "break even" period is 9.5 years.

It also says "Increased value of home" $3940.

Would my house really appraise for $3940 more if I do the upgrade? If not, ABOUT how much more?

Standard equipment

Lennox 13HPX Heat Pump, 3.5 ton (13 SEER, 7.7 HSPF)

CBX26UH Air Handler

Upgrades I'm considering

Lennox XP14 Heat Pump, 3.5 ton (15.5 SEER, 9.0 HSPF, ARI #4686863)

CBX37UH Air Handler

Should I upgrade? Or should I not? I plan on staying in the home 7+ years for sure, probably 10+ years.
